Nesouhlasím s tebou v tom, že se to nikdy nepovedlo. 50 států USA vedle sebe existovalo tak krátce a přesto se dokázaly spojit v jeden celek, který už 200 let funguje lépe než rozdělená Evropa. Přesto si státy USA ponechaly svou kulturu a styl života. Žijí pod jednou vlajkou, přináší jim to tolik výhod, že je ani nenapadne mluvit o rozdělení. BTW Klaus likes USA.

Poslední věc k EU: DO založení EU si prošla Evropa tolika vzájemnými válkami, že je ani nespočítáš. Kolik vojenských kongliktů se odehrálo na území Evropy od dob jejího vzniku? Jeden a to ještě mimo hranice EU (bývalá Jugoslávie). Bereme mír jako saozřejmost, ale odcházející generace to tak nevidí. Čím víc máme společných zájmů, tím míň máme potřebu se zabíjet.

And even though we had a nice fortress defensive line on our borders, the Sudeten Germans (those who did side Hitler) would be a simple backstab :) There was absolutely no chance, even with all the defenses and our country mobilized. It went the way it went, there is no "if".

Současná hospodářská krize a její dopady na ekonomiku Řecka vyvolaly problémy v celé eurounii, protože je svázané společnou měnou. Ale o tom to je. Tomu se říká partnerství a spolupráce. Určité státy se rozhodly že do toho jdou společně se všemi výhodami i riziky. Klaus to ale nerad, neb je samotář a důvěry a spolupráce není schopen.

@vintason Nikdy nemáš informace odjinud než z médií, lze ale přemýšlet a vybírat si. Vždy čerpám z více zdrojů, které pak srovnávám. Nesouhlasím s tebou v tom, že se to nikdy nepovedlo. 50 států USA vedle sebe existovalo tak krátce a přesto se dokázaly spojit v jeden celek, který už 200 let funguje lépe než rozdělená Evropa. Přesto si státy USA ponechaly svou kulturu a styl života. Žijí pod jednou vlajkou, přináší jim to tolik výhod, že je ani nenapadne mluvit o rozdělení. BTW Klaus likes USA.

Poslední věc k EU: DO založení EU si prošla Evropa tolika vzájemnými válkami, že je ani nespočítáš. Kolik vojenských kongliktů se odehrálo na území Evropy od dob jejího vzniku? Jeden a to ještě mimo hranice EU (bývalá Jugoslávie). Bereme mír jako saozřejmost, ale odcházející generace to tak nevidí. Čím víc máme společných zájmů, tím míň máme potřebu se zabíjet.

Jenže nelze srovnávat myšlenky společné Evropy a USA,ty vznikly za absolutně rozdílných podmínek, i když se evropské národy integrují, neznamená to, že to tak vydrží věčně, uvidíme v budoucnu, ta myšlenka společné Evropy je tak krásná asi jako utopického komunismu, v reálném světě neproveditelný, jenže ty nejvyšší kasty jak v Evropě tak v USA

I must disagree. We are not Russians and we are not connected to Russia in any way. Did u live in the communism state? I don't think so. Where are u from? And as Choranzanus said we don't need frickin' EU to give us identidy. We are one of the oldest states (kingdoms or nations) in the whole Europe. Our king wanted to create somethin' like EU, we had under control a big part of Europe and i can tell you more. Weapons in the 2th World war were form OUR factories and so on. WE ARE CZECH REPUBLIC!

Oh no, i know history of World War 2 very well. And u gotta ask u, how did their fight (well it wasnt fight it was a massacre) end? And if u know history, then u know that we were prepared to fight for our country, but our government decided to not sacrifice its people. But this all happend coz of France and UK, they sold us out. Welcomed? People welcomed Hitler in Viden, not in Prague you historic ignorant. He was welcomed by Germans who lived here. And what is diferenc? Poland sacrafice thousands of people for absolutely nothing. Czechs was ready to fight, but everybody let them on they own.... there was no chance. Benes safed czech people and our infrastructure....

@Avanti27 Naaah, you should check the history, not only by pictures. About 3mio ppl of German nationality lived in Czechoslovakia, guess who mainly welcomed the invasion. And check what the Czechs did during the occupation.
And even though we had a nice fortress defensive line on our borders, the Sudeten Germans (those who did side Hitler) would be a simple backstab :) There was absolutely no chance, even with all the defenses and our country mobilized. It went the way it went, there is no "if".

The truth remains the Slovakia signed up gladly with Hitler and sold their Jews and Czechs thought it was best to salute him rather than fight! Slovakia got its independence from Czech during the War. You should read that up.

(maybe this is not the case of CZ...but) Or, wait, I know...there is something honorable in a straight fight, the way the knights used to fight (at least they say so :D)..sure? :D Isn't that just another stereotype?

Yes, but unfortunately France and Britain decided to hand over these weapons to Hitler for free... France was then surprised when it was attacked by Czech made light tanks from the north, where German made tanks would never pass.

This president is damn right about what he says. I am not against renewable energy sources BUT it´s way to extreme. Let the countries have enough time to CHANGE. We all know that fosil sources
will run out some day. Besides scientists have proofen that the SUN is to be "blamed" for globar warming. The sun got much more hot during the past 100 years. The proof is the melted ice on some planet in our solar system. Of course emmissions should be reduced BUT not in this way.
