I just found out that the great Christopher Doyle is the cinematographer on "Passion Play" - that should be incredible. He did "In The Mood For Love", "Hero", "Chung King Express" and many other great films. Obviously, this film won't be for the conventionally minded - THANK GOD. We've already got plenty of those kinds of movies. It also has Bill Murray as the villian - can't wait to see this.

I just saw an article saying that Megan Fox is the best young actress he's ever worked with. GMAFB!!! What a joke!!!! Evan Rachel Wood was great in The Wrestler!!! That would be a slap in the face to Wood!!!

This film will probably never get off the shelf...I predict it will go strait to DVD. Mickey Rourke as a love interest to a beautiful deformed Angel? Why did they pick these 2 in the first place? MR as a jazz sax player......Why not Morgan Freeman with ....? makes more sense.

@Sabrineable Me too!!! Look at some great love stories. Titanic, The Notebook, Sleepless in Seattle, Gone with the Wind, The Way we Were, A Star is Born, etc. What are they trying to do, turn us off and make us sick. The casting director must be crazy for the casting of these characters.

I agree. I just don't get the title. Is it supposed to be another 9 1/2 weeks or Wild Orchid? You want more real love stories try Love Story with Ali McGraw and Ryan O'Neal. I cried so much!!! Or take Pretty Woman, A Walk to Remember, Moulin Rouge, Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Forrest Gump, etc. Cast with chemistry. This movie will be nothing but nudity and a crappy storyline. I read some bulletins and I'm not going to watch that trailer when it comes out!!!

@b1chvj39 Try to think outside the box. Its not going to be like 9 1/2 Weeks and its definitely not going to be a traditional Hollywood romance like "Love Story" or "Pretty Woman". Its going to be something thats probably surreal and that crosses boundaries - maybe a little mythic.

If thats not your thing - then fine. I look forward to something unusual from time to time - not just a typical cliche or formula. i've got a good feeing about this movie. We'll see - or, at least, I will.

I loved "In The Mood For Love". If "Passion Play" is half as good it will be well worth while. I think Mickey Rourke is a great actor and I bet many people will find that they've underrated Megan Fox (she was quite good in "Jennifer's Body"). Of course, both of these two are non-conformists and have extreme looks so some people will be unable to tolerate that. Can't wait to see it - I know its filming now.

Hey why don't you and me boycott the film. LOL!!! A love story, it's more like a freak story!!! Now Stephen Sodeheim's version of the Broadway musical Passion, now that is a real love story.

I can see some favorable movie couples with chemistry. For example, Kate and Leo in Titanic, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seattle, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in The Notebook plus the greats Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn in many movies. Wonderful chemistry. Rourke and Basinger equals chemistry, Rourke and Fox absolutely None!!!!
