  • y do people dislike videos like this i mean unless ur hitting dislike cuz it hit the truck i can see that but i cant see straight hate toward a video thats G rated, to me it can be a learning tool for other pilots or ground crews so there more aware.

  • From the looks of it and having flown a few 205s with the bambi bucket, it looks like he went IMC and punched it to climb out of the smoke. Or he could have been close to an overtorque and punched it. Either way he flew out and what a wash job.

  • Oh shit!!!

  • Get a safecom for that one!

  • near miss, yes he was suppose to miss it rigth.

  • How about firing the guy that parked the truck in the way? ; )

  • Near miss?? Looks like they hit the truck pretty much full on.. :)

  • why do you noobs think the pilot will lose his job over this? people make mistakes, accidents happen, nobody was hurt, what's the big deal? is it that you would like to see someone lowered in status? maybe lowered to your car washing level? sorry, not this time

  • The pilot can now say goodbye to his job. Maybe he will make it in the car washing industry.

  • Why do you want him to lose his job so badly? Let's see YOUR heavy-smoke-fire-fighting videos!

    Didn't think so

  • @DigiTan000 I was clearly making a joke, if you had understood it properly =o

  • that truck got totally teabagged by the helicopter.

  • Looks like Kamloops B.C. area.

  • Luckily the aircraft didn't get hung up on a truck part.

  • nice catch of the pilot!

saving lives is never easy.. lets give it up for these men who risks their own lives for others

  • There's a hole in the bucket Dear LIZA.... Dear LIZA....

  • Comment removed

  • Lol, don't mess with pilots, next time, don't just have water in it, have some gas in it, and drop a lighter xD

  • @Digger843ASXM We are now all dumber for reading your comment.

  • @justjayok1 okay... amm, I don't see what your problem is, that was my mate commenting... talk with him instead...

  • Near Miss? Precise hit!

  • I like to imagine that the helicopter is a living being and was like, "wtf did I just hit" when it turned around. >_<

  • he didn't see that coming!

  • i bet that pilot got fired

  • Trucker must of shat bricks after that one.

  • Lol. Great way to wash your car.

  • That was a pretty serious incident. Could have been really nasty had the bucket been caught by something or had a person been struck. Smoke really does make things invisible I guess. Rarely are these types of videos educational but this one certainly qualifies.

    thanks for posting

  • Pilot says to Copilot "Dangit Merve!! I swear this is the LAST time I forget we have a 40' cable with a 1/2 ton of water dangling from the ass of this rig"

  • Awesome video. I think in this case, it was a bit more than just a near miss!

  • where the heck was any communication? whats next in this clip, a burnover? really puts out a good word for us firefighters.

  • That was neither, "NEAR" nor a "MISS."

But in all honesty, in aviation speak - there is no such thing as a "near miss." THERE IS a reportable incident called, "Near collision."

    FINAL SCORE:

    Bambi bucket 1 - Fire truck 0.

  • Near miss? No, direct hit.

  • I think the pilot knows what he's done wrong cause he turned that thing round pretty fuckin' quick.

  • free car wash

  • LMAO!

  • yeah.

dont wash ever ur truck like that.

  • The best way ever to wash a truck!

  • WHOOPS~!

    MY BAD!

  • much damage to the fire truck?

  • probably... 1000 pounds of water can do alot of damage. especially if its flying at you in a metal case doing 40 mph XD

  • @poitertoip The bucket is made of fabric, not metal. However, the mass of water hitting the windshield that way could certainly shatter it or knock it out of the frame.

  • Which aviation outfit was that heli from...Conair?

  • thats sucks they were fighting forest fires and now they have to replace that bag, and quick

  • TAG!!! UR IT!!

  • Lucky pilot, could have been much worse!

  • Lucky there wasn't anyone in the Fire engine.

  • i think the vehicle is moving

  • Yeah it was moving.

  • I don't think he ever saw the truck through the smoke perhaps?

  • ha smeshnik

  • I dont think that was a near miss, he pretty much nailed that truck dead on

  • @columbusfire425 yeah im waiting for the "miss" part of this video. looks like a direct hit to me lol

  • @columbusfire425 Actually it was a near miss because he nearly missed it, but instead hit it.

  • @columbusfire425 That would be a near miss. If he hadn't actually hit it, it would be a "near hit." ;p

  • i bet the pilots undies are brown now

  • "I thought he was on fire! I swear!!!"

  • xDDD :D

  • Bummer, but at least we know the truck is safe from fire ;)

  • uh oh spaghetti O

  • oops

  • whoopsie

  • lol.

  • wet tshirt contest!!!

  • I don't think the pilot can see the truck in the smoke.

  • STIG1994 you are a retard I mean the guy in the helicopter cant fucking see because of the smoke.

  • hahaha fly-by-truckwash!

  • Nice recovery by the chopper pilot to keep from crashing!

  • Lol, someones unexperienced....

  • Lets just hope it wasn't extremely corrosive acid in that bucket...

  • That's a hell of a way to wash your car!

    Where's the wax and shine?

  • @PorkyPiggles It's on it's way

  • i think hes just making his friends wet for fun LOL

  • the obvious question is..."were the guys in the truck OK? Just wet?

  • Was this video shot in Washington State? It sure looks like Chelan County!

  • That is a CDF UH-1H w/a Bambi bucket and he was just flying a lil' low enroute to a fire line just beyond the pick-up pumper that it hit. I think it was down around Mammouth Calif.

  • Instant car wash XD

  • wow that must be refreshing for the guys in the truck ( if it was water)

  • oops

  • That wasn't a blind spot, that's called flying low through smoke. If it had been clear he would have seen the truck.

  • oops

  • Pretty lucky there wasn't any power cables around! Hope the pilot was insured?

  • lmao. now that made another trip to get water and put the fire out

  • i still can't even believe this happened...and i was on this fire

  • Now thats a wake up call for the crew in the engine

  • What do you do for a encore? A transmission change? You know a good pilot always has an excuse for this sort of thing. I wonder what his was, shoes untied?

  • na it's more along the lines of "sry chief i didn't see your truck there."

  • Well in this case the fire truck is at fault because it did not have it's lights on when there was no visibility

  • any damage to the truck?

  • busted windsheild and a broken light bar.....

  • @krouxmosby And a slightly moist pair of pants for both...

  • I bet the pilot lost his job with this stunt!

  • @krouxmosby low flying a 40 year old helicopter through dense smoke, he deserved a promotion +

  • @krouxmosby i wouldnt call it a stunt. he was flying low so he could keep visual refrence to the ground because of the low visability caused by the smoke

  • Funny shit!
