@nagee76 Not to take anything away from Saving Private Ryan, but I thought the battle scenes in Stalingrad were every bit as horrific, and the overall message/tone of the film was even more hard hitting. It's unremittingly grim, but then from everything I've read that was Stalingrad in a nutshell and the reason that it's widely regarded as one of the most brutal battles in the entire history of warfare.

how could this be seen as content not suitable for kids? I grew up in a family with many vietnam veterans, and not one of them would talk to us kids about their experiences.
meanwhile theirs a whole legion of now adults that still dont know firsthand what went on, or even if our fathers were in fact pow or heroes.
Usuallly they end up watching as their relatives die without ever learning the truth of the horrors of war or why it is nessecary.
