You can distinguish between the prolate spheroid nature of an egg and the oblate spheroid nature of the earth by measurements on the polar axis and equatorial diameter of the objects. This is fact, this is the truth, what chance do I have if you are going to dismiss something as easy as that so easily?

In reference to the "ostrich egg shape" of the Earth, this is potentially an even more phenomenal description than Dr Naik realises...
Few people know that the Earth's original rotation period was a fraction of what is is now, perhaps as low as 6h (vs 24h today). The centrifugal force would have been much greater and the equatorial bulge highly pronounced, making the Earth much more oblate (flattened at poles + bulging at equator).
This makes the ostrich egg analogy even more relevant.

This is just one example of the misleading and fraudulent nature of Mr Naik. People have a tendency to praise him with rapturous applause when he recalls verses and mixes it with pseudo-science, no one ever stops to think or check the validity of his claims, why? I have no idea. If anyone else wants to provide more claims please do so, I will do the research to show that its all BS, either Naiks claims are lies or it could not be a miracle if it was known prior to the quran or both.

However I have taken a step which many people who believe these claims have not and actually looked into the claims rather than take it at face value. All you have to do is take a look at Eratosthenes' work, a good encyclopedia would be a good start.

Like I said check out the word prolate and oblate in a good encyclopedia like britannica which would have references too. It will tell you how to differentiate between the two shapes. You can distinguish between the prolate spheroid nature of an egg and the oblate spheroid nature of the earth by measurements on the polar axis and equatorial diameter of the objects. This is fact, this is the truth, what chance do I have if you are going to dismiss something as easy as that so easily?

Secondly Mr Naik, Since you are NOT an authority on the Arabic language I am skeptical of your translations, more authorotive sources have no mention of an ' Ostrich egg'. However lets assume you are right for arguments sake. Now the problem I have is that the Earth is actually referred to as an Oblate Sphere shape not geospherical. In fact Geosphere actually refers to the dense part of the Earth and can also be used for the Lithospehere, ie the upper layers of the Earth.

@DanGRtheMan A True man should always accept truth(even though its bitter) If Alcohol is prohibited in one religion and permitted is other then one must be bold enough to accept the truth and appreciate and encourage it. Our vision must be for betterment of society. We must not take personal and start defending it. If we made mistakes in past once we know we should not repeat it. Why dont you see Dr Naik has highlighted the best similarities in all major religions to bring us on common platform.

@naveedbasha even if you show the quran has NO scientific contradictions, it doesn't mean it's been written by god since you believe in both the god and the devil's existence - it might have been written by the devil, since according to most religions the devil is a very clever deciever. so this leaves the opinions and teachings in the quran still up for debate. it doesn't prove those opinions to be the best for humankind. it doesn't prove the non-scientific bits.

@naveedbasha fine if you believe your religion is true, but you cannot and should never force your belief on others like Zakir suggests. didn't the quran say "religion is without compulsion", so if the quran is "true", why is zakir worried about christians building churches? anyway, most religions are written by men in caves over 1400 years ago, since then god has never spoken to say "stop this religious fighting, this is the true religion." God is hiding, unless god speaks, there is no proof.

@DanGRtheMan Some people are adamant to go astray. I think you did not read Quran at all. There are several warnings against devil and even against foot steps of devil apart from all good things. If there is choice between devil and God why are you inclined towards devil(don't you have brain?) If the floor is wet and you find two men one in wet cloth the other dry why are you adamant that dry cloth man could have made carpet wet? Dr Naik is making the options clear he is not choosing for you

@naveedbasha but if the devil came and wrote a book, wouldn't he say "God wrote this" and pretend it wasn't him by warning against himself coming. wouldn't he pretend that God wrote it so he could spread his misconceptions within the text. it only takes a few incorrect verses to ruin a text that is otherwise considered to be from God. so you see, you need to prove how the whole quran helps people to be good, otherwise you cannot prove it is from god (zakir believes in the hadiths aswell).

@naveedbasha another option if the quran has no scientific contradictions, is that aliens wrote it. they were intelligent enough to assimilate into arabic society, understand and break down the arabic language, and write a beautiful form of poetry, added to their knowledge of the universe. strangely enough there are no documents from the time AND place of Muhammed (the earliest qurans we have are copies of the original) so you cannot disprove this.

Violence in the Muslim world is a constant.
We have been fighting Muslim violence since George Washington's time. And even longer. Whether it's Muslims killing Hindus, Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians or any and every religion under the sun, there is a pattern here. It's a story as old as time. And it's not one that we can stop by ladling out honeyed words of appeasement.
Traditionally it's the victors who give their laws to the defeated.
But the failed states are imposing their Sharia Laws on us

@riseabove1000 If you consider yourself Muslim you have 6 conditions of IMAN if you reject anyone you are out of Islam. Quran says Obey Allah and his Rasool then others. If you don't find solution in Rasools teaching then ask the learned one with quotation (DALEEL) This is Allahs command to us in Quran. If anyone who gives priority to others (Verbally or Practically) saying Rasool is correct but my Mullah has not said wrong (there cannot be 2 corrects) he is out of Islam this is BASIC of Islam
