Another thing to add. Not as many campers in BF2 than BF3 with campers that have support and an m249 in a random part of the map laying prone. Bf2 had fun conquest raiding. The maps dont look the same on the BF3 map pack but it was nice to bring back Sharqui peninsula. Looked better in bf2 though.

@infidelied Depends. When you have them on your sigt they are plane stupid. They do nothing to prevent being killed except sometimes dropping flares. But IF they reach to the state where they are following you in a dogfight, they may be just as hard to lose as players multiplayer.

Therefore single player CO-OP (at Operation Cleansweep as the only option) may be a good training, for escaping dogfight (as well for bombing) in future multiplayer.

in times of mindless deathmatch, when cs_assault was a big map for a shooter, when playing as a team was not needed to win; Battlefield 2 came to rescue us.

but for real, flying in bf2 was so much fun we had even mods just for it and now it sucks coz u 'cruise' at ground lvl and every moron can shoot u down. this was battlefield at its best. oh and all my friend and i fitted in 1 squad + 1 commander with working VoiP... and a .. *breath* menu... (sound.. obvious but..)

@1337vIKz stingers are useless because Chaff/ Flares deletes your lock on. in bf2 it added heat sources so the missile could still hit the plane. and beeing followed by a javelin is like COD to use it againts human players: STupiD².

oh and i got over it, now playing Bf2 again with the Project Reallity mod

It's a griefing method, people do it because YOU ran faster and got the airplane instead of them. Also think about what kind of game you really want when you play the game. Do you want to solo and get high score and action (where you team is just as much opponent as the other team), you are the same "noob".
