Mitsubishi Evolution needs to be serviced after 6000km. All performance cars need to be serviced regularly. They are stressed far higher than a normal car so they obviously need more care than a normal car.

Btw the most unreliable car i have ever owned was a VW Passat followed by an Audi A4. Aside from our Mercedes the German cars we have owned have been nothing but trouble. Audi always finish low on reliability surveys.

DON'T even remind me! My father's Passat was a total reliability failure! It went as far as being towed 17 times a year! Audi is the same: most parts are made to be shared with VW, SEAT or Skoda. It just comes with a higher price tag.

The 156 was lighter because it was smaller, and because it had a lot less safety features then the 159. You can't compare em by the way. The 159 3.2 is just a 159 with a big engine, the 156 GTA is tuned and made lighter. Alfa GTA is like the M series of BMW.

There are rumors they are working on a 159 GTA, with a Ferrari engine in it! :D

4. I know quite a few people happily driving around with a 159 without any of them having problems. I've been driving a newly bought 147 for 4 years now without any reliability problems, and it's a joy to drive.

5. Alfa's "premium platform" is still one of the most advanced and best handling platforms beating BMW's and Merc's in independent German tests.

Look for bmw 3 series crash tests ... bmw looks better in crash tests ... for example the door is bending on alfa for frontal inpact ..not sure it will open easy.

Knee airbag is great ... i would choose a bmw 3 series though ... it looks much stiffer in crash
