  • Relax more your fingers ;p

  • FUCKING PERFECT

  • very nice, nice to the use of different instruments

  • beautiful instruments both, rarely seen in play on youtube or elsewhere abroad! You two are something special. :)

  • beautiful song !!!I love this cover

  • Your videos are awesome man, do you sell your stuff on iTunes or something?

  • Makes me think of a bard playing in ye old days.

  • make a better version

  • @alesuke7guitar Why don't you make one? Oh wait... because you can't. stfu please.

  • wow that instrument looks so complicated

  • Sounds a bit irish...

  • this really cracks me up! hahaha

  • the flute was anooying xD

  • @SharikTheReal

    shut up it was beautiful.

  • @TheInfiniteTurtle I never said the contrary you idiot. And I meant the whislte

  • haha and i thought i was a nerd. nice job guys.

  • buen trabajo mis chavos, excelente cancion ;) felicitaciones sigan asii!!

  • Beautifully done folks!

  • wevos que

  • i dont know why but this version made me laugh xD

  • Inu-Vania!

  • please !!! what's the tab of tin whistle

  • kwatah.....

  • Sounds like those Bruce Lee movies soundtracks... Lol

  • c'mon... 41 dislikes? those people were drunk for sure.

  • Hi! The sample rate of this music file must be wrong. That's why it sounds screeching and digital. Reencode it with correct sample rate (48000 or 44100 or something)

  • Wow. That was odd. Never encountered that one before. So this video's a response to another, but that video claims that it's not available to be viewed cause I'm not in the right country?! Seriously? Where is it available then?

  • I can imagine walking through Castlevania, with it, instead of looking like a castle, it would be a Pagoda. lol

  • Great Effort

  • is that a recorder? if it is props to you

  • @xMACxMrTorture It's a tin whistle actually.

  • Rustic :)

  • WOW good job guys!

  • A fantastic tune with a nice Celtic twist.

    Good stuff :)

  • Good job guys.

  • in wich notation was the flute made and what type is it?

    nicely done ^^

  • @darfiss616 "Faedog" brand. Tuned in D.

  • uh, old medieval theme it's very goood congratulations

  • She kinda plays it a bit dull/harsh, should've been softer to go along better with the harp.

  • That harp look hard to play as hell... but he's really nice playing it :P

  • ye old castlevania XD

  • nice!

  • Dammit, the flute is really screwing up this otherwise great performance. I don't think it's her playing, I just think it's the key the flute is set in and the pitch... It almost seems like she has some cheap $20 recorder flute and you've got this $400 harp, and it's just a pretty bad juxtaposition of quality.

  • @phubans That harp costs a few thousand...lol not $400 dollars >.>...

  • @AwesomeGuyOfPwnage Oops, I forgot a 0. $400 = $4000

  • This is an amizing Cover! It has a Latin beat to it but also very bluesy and gipsy!

    Incredible guys.

  • Like, but, the flute is out of tune. The harp sounds awesome.

  • interesting o.o

  • Yeah, it's neat but damn is that wind instrument over powering the harp :/

  • Love it.

    Great job people.

  • it sounded like a music that came from naruto -_-

  • what intrument is the accompaniment (sorry don't know how to spell)?

  • :/ I like this but she can't play the flute and i do prefer cachua1506 version of this but still good effort

  • Has somme fails but yet GREAT!

  • Dude. You absolutely rock for learning the harp. It's overlooked considering how beautiful it sounds.

  • that harp sound so peaceful, but the flute is screwing up the music its too high pitch but I'm sure its the video not the flute.

  • Very nice

  • nicely done, but I think the wind instrument...whatever she was playing, was a tad loud and overshadowing the harp.

  • Muito bom...mas a cara da mulher parecia meia insegura com o rapaz...rsss

  • I'm glad that someone finally decided to record a version of this with more than 1 person playing. I really like the break down at :59, which is usually something I specifically look to see how people choose to play it. I think the main issue with the sound difference is the sharpness of the flute/recorder in contrast to the mellow sound of the harp. Anyway, I enjoyed this.

  • That flute is so annoying

  • nice to hear it played with different instruments instead of just piano..

  • Keep up the good work! Love this madness you do!

  • Work a bit more on it, you two really have potential of perfecting this song! :)

  • cool

  • the flute is a little lower in tone, but that's ok

  • whats the chick playing? recorder maybe?

  • @doughnutugy1 pennywhistle (aka tin whistle)

  • Very nice ^_^ !!

  • Nice lever action on the thirds decension. You have slight of hand, fellow.

  • This is fucking amazing. You are two beautiful souls. :)

  • Nice work! I love your harp version! Thank you

  • very nice work

  • i thik he's good, but she take some wrong notes, but at the end, good work, i always wanted a friend to play with =/... you should find someone and try to make it with Violin and Harp, FF9 intro should be pretty nice that way too..

  • Nooooo!!!.... best SOTN song in harp and flute!!!! You guys rock!!!!!.... Turn down a little bit the volume on flute, so harp can be listened a little louder. Veeery good!

  • Nice harp bro.

  • Dude!

    This is fantastic!

    Keep it up guys!

  • bravoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • very nice ......... please keep it up.

  • for a game that literally had the best music out of any game. an for you guys to do it over with only two instruments. awesome.

  • omg!

  • meio gay

  • This makes catle vania sound like it took plafe in shit

  • @Decombre place in shit*

  • quite good..The tin whistle in the back is an interesting take to a solid tune of the main melody, although i think she shouldn't be playing note by note, and putting more slurs to smoothen the melody.

  • Bad bad does not sound right... =(

  • Way too fast.

  • This makes Castlevania sound like if it took place in feudal Japan. I don't know why, though.

  • @Nack289 Piccolos will do that. XD

  • @Totema1 that's definately NOT a piccolo......

  • @RunaTheAlchemist What I meant was, it is a *insert wooden woodwind instrument here*

  • @Nack289 aria of sorrow(dawn of sorrow)? TOKYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @Nack289 IMAGINE! SAMURAI ALUCARD N STUFF..........

  • @Nack289 soma cruz's version of lost paintings LOL

  • :D COOOOOL

  • Poorly executed, plus it's WILDLY offchord. Also, the girl *does* suck quite a lot.

  • I never realized you could do a pinch harmonic on any string... I don't even play stringed instruments. this is fucking sick1!!!!11!1!!!!1!!!1!!!

  • No emotion.. too stressy.. Yet good effort!

  • That is incredible, holy shit...

  • very beautiful.. sounds very vey nice...

is a music for castlevania town or castlevania village... type zelda ..jejeje.

  • Very very good... I just think the flute tone is a little bit strong... Next time try using some transversal flute to make the flute sound soft. But after all, it's amazing. Good job!

  • Good job :) Thank you for your video.

  • too fast, eh!

  • so good i'm crying *--*

  • Wow. Bringing a celticy feel to castlevania. Epic win, guys.

  • how cool. i only can play piano. but to play that. and so cute. its amazing....

  • beatiful guys... that is beatiful.... love castlevania!

  • 1:01 and up is amazing ^ ^

  • Very nice to hear one of my favorite songs played with different instruments, needs work, but very great job still, keep it up!

  • good work ..

do your best to be better =)

  • the tash has to go mate, ya look a fool, good music though

  • it sounds like chinese folk music, and its played too fast. its a nice attempt, but i think the two instruments together don't play off each other very well. it sounds sharp, almost pinched throughout the performance.

  • this has a classical chinese touch, somehow :) good job!

  • Comment removed

  • true that, i half waited flowers and shit to rain from above, lol

  • lovely! i like this version. thanks!

  • that flute produce a lovely sound...

  • sounds more like a guy in medeival times having a hallucination or something, nice effort though :)

  • Lol At the start of this film. It could sound like a Russian Folk dance.. (Sorry for my bad english)

  • Gentle on the tin whistler -- she does a wonderful job; whistles don't record well. No matter what sound it's making IRL, it will always have a shrill sound when recorded unless an audio recorder is absolutely suited for this. Also helps to record in a room with better acoustics I think.

On another "note" -- the instrument is really adapted to certain kinds of music more than others. It's often played in energetic jigs that don't let you linger on what the long notes really sound like.

  • its pretty good, but it became great after 1:05..

  • I remember my first beer...

  • wat??

  • You are the Best!

  • Good job, guys :) Looks like it was a tough thing to do.

  • maybe only the harp.....

  • The flute and harp don't go well together.

They never have unless the harp is dominate and the flute and minimal support.

  • something about the harp player seems so...stiff, and un-refined you know? it lacks sensitivity, but through good practice, every thing is possible :)

  • The Harp is just fine. The flute is just fine. They just don't go well together since there is no harmony between their nature.

The Harp is basically a Piano but only that the strings are plucked with the hand instead of striking with a key/hammer.

Percussion instruments use sudden strikes, Wind instruments use elongated pushes, pulls, and changes in flow.

They are sharp contrasts to one another.

  • are you listening or watching?

  • i listened

  • uh... nnaaahhh... aight to look for a few, then off to somethin else...

  • That looks fun...

    Pretty cool....

  • harp looks hard as hell to play

  • creo que el arpa necesita mas "prioridad" en este tema no deberia ser el acompañamiento de la cancion, si intentaran invertir los roles quisas les saldria mejor la cancion :P (o meterle 2 armas :P)

  • peformace good!

    Very interesting .......

  • Great Music! Best of SOTN.

    Bad performing... Sounds no good.

  • awesome i love this game!

  • Incredible to do Lost Painting on recorder so smooth, I play recorder and clarinet also myself, and I understand how hard it is to play high notes perfectly, maybe practise a bit more, but still, very good job!

  • 5*****

  • wow that call harp..i dont la

  • I really want to learn to play the harp <3 but how?

  • i think shes blowing too hard on that recorder, keep on practicing guys, i want to be able to hear this song without poeple saying "WTF are you listening to?"

  • Harpist is amazing.

  • the instrument choice gave it more of a celtic sound, which in my opinion sounds fantastic. i think its better than the original, thank you for sharing it.

    5*****

  • Very nice! Because of the instruments chosen for this rendition, this sounds like it'd be kinda out of place in Symphony of the Night. I have a feeling that if it were stuck in games like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker or Okami, it would fit in perfectly. You could say the same about the original theme, but this would fit more.

Anyway, like I was saying before, you guys did a great job!

  • muitobom!!parabens !!!amei!!!! ficou bem medieval rsrsrs...

  • is it hard to play the Harp? D:

  • It can be tricky at times to get it to sound really nice, but to play the harp is not very hard.

  • hoola!!

oye tendras las prtituras en flauta?

  • no w8....Is it a clarinet.......???

  • is a little anoying the sound of the flute (if is a flute) The girl, have to play a little more far from the camera, but about the music, is really good! FIVE STARS

  • agreed. flute and harp make it sound more classy and fits the time era, nice

  • good job guys

  • nice nice nice niceeee! :D

  • good job =D! u did an awesome job =D!

  • If you have a clarrinet or something not so ear piercing, it will be even better

  • Awesome arpeggios at 01:01 dude! Excellent work, 5/5!

  • lol, love the game but Why?

  • gracias por subir este video :)

  • coool shit! what are you doin with your left hand? it looks like you're adjusting tuning?

  • Actually it looks like he is dragging his finger/turning the knob, which may hold the sound

  • I am indeed adjusting the tuning of individual strings but raising or lowering levers that are placed at the tops of those respective strings. It's how I obtain my sharps.

  • @Kirbbard that sounds like its really tricky compared to guitar where if you want to go up a step you just bend the string. I respect all string instruments a lot. From playing trombone in all my middle school in band and then playing guitar, trying to play my friends violin a few times and going to the chicago symphonic orchestra strings are really hard to get down.

  • This is BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing job!! Very pretty =)

  • Why does everyone keep calling it a flute...you don't hold flutes that way, nor does the mouthpiece resemble anything like that.

  • very cool!

  • That's beautiful harp playing right there, mate. Kudos!

  • very mideval loves it!

  • I agree.

  • good job ! harp's sound is good but the sound of the flute is crap :/ (cause of the microphone I think).

  • AWESOME! Great job!

  • what is that string thing?looks cool...

  • You mean the fucking harp?

  • lol! Im sorry, im not laughing at mrkay92. Hoborg's comment just sounded hilarious.
