  • Is John Davidson a die-hard Pittsburgh Steeleers fan? He's originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

  • Oh lordy, I just looked up recent photos of John Davidson on the net and he has the same hair! Just a little longer. So tragic.

  • YUCK! Diet Shasta

  • Fact: Reg Grundy Productions is now a part of Fremantle Media Group (North America).

  • How sad.

  • Love at 2:50 when Davidson says, "In case people are watching at home." Such confidence in your ratings share, John!

  • If you live in Los Angeles or planning to visit the L.A. area and you would like to become a contestant on "Time Machine", you should of done that in 1985.

  • I don't remember this show but I remember John Davidson hosting Hollywood Squares.. but not this show.

  • I kinda like this show shame it lasted 13 weeks

  • 16 Weeks

  • good ol' Charlie Tuna.

  • Whoa!, that theme song is so 1985!

  • The bonus round is challenging but rewarding too. While 50:50 odds per question may sound easy is very hard; I speak from experience. John is clearly showing his growth in being an emcee but he looks like he may get better. Shirley did a good job today and I hope she will hit it tomorrow. Time Machine looks like a simple history oriented game show. While it is challenging I don't know if you need to have a great deal of knowledge for this show. TPIR games are okay but not here. I give it 3 stars

  • Time Machine is a Reg Grundy Production.

  • It's The Price Is Right... with time peoiods!

  • Hoping to see more video clips from "Time Machine" and some promos that NBC promoted the classic game show.

  • I dig this game, had I not be in school at the time I would have watched. Davidson does a really good job too (later performance on Pyramid that's another story) :)

  • However, about a year after this, he would do a good job for about three years on "Hollywood Squares".

  • Very unique, and fun show. Challenging too.

  • I think the format change to head-to-head players debuted on 2/11/85.

  • This episode must be from either the week of 2/4/85, or the week of 2/11/85. I know this, cause that was when "Super Password" had its only tournament, and the chance to win $50,000 (as described by the NBC voiceover in the end credits).

  • I say Feb. 8, 1985 - The last show before the second Time Machine format.

  • Gotta be the week of 2/4/85...the format changed the week after.
