Because it was filmed in Ireland mostly, the Battle of Sterling Bridge wasn't on a bridge at all, Scots didn't wear kilts back then, the girl he fell in love with wasn't alive yet, Wallace was played by an Australian, it was about as accurate as a toad-muffin and it was just plain wrong.

Psh. However, Brave has got the research done on history and features many Scottish voice actors, even our native language as its main song. Hell yeah.

I suppose you could be right, in that she was a great leader of people - she inspired a revolt against the roman occupatio -, but I'm not sure. Most likely it's fabricated around the tales and legends of multiple kings and queens.
