Lady talking about stuff,"who doesn't remember the first concert they went to?"
Well lady, I can tell you that lots of people probably don't remember their first concert, and I'm not talking about people who are now in their eighties who are having memory slips.
Yid yakking how it's a film about Gore. It's nothing about Gore. It's about pimping carbon tax & single child policies & all other manner of ripoff scams 4 your bankster relatives, & this 'guitar' movie is about promoting nig blues junk same as MTV & their slave noise (rap) bla bla. WOuld have been interesting if they got in there & actually generated some ad-lib new material, but it's the same old propaganda exercise instead - yawn.
What do guys do when they can't "get their chicks for free"? Well, perhaps more often than not they compromise, yip, rack of antlers/rack of lies, debt and disaster - the inconvenient truth, indeed.
for me the edge is the most interesting ... sure the other two are great guitarists but there are loads of great guitarists ! edge has always been really innovative and actually changed the concept of what a guitar is. Jacks voice and production to me is more iimpressive to me than his guitar playing.
please . . i like the guy a lot . . but a pioneer ? are u kidding. Les Paul was a pioneer, Hendrix, Page etc. the Edge is faily simple - and 30 years behind the pioneers
Man no shit. There is an awful lot of Edge bashing going on. Actually its the kind of "bashing" that used to get heaped on JImmy Page once upon a time.
@joe85rtta The movie is not about legendary guitarists.... Its about the electric guitar. Im not an Edge fan at all and dont think hes in the same league as Jimmy and Jack but he did do something different with the guitar. That being said Jack isnt in the same league as Jimmy either and if you think Jack is a legendary guitar player then I think your wrong. Jack is great and is doing something special with his music but is not a legendary guitarist.... not yet
Enjoyed this movie. Favorite part: Jimmy Page air-guitaring along with Rumble by Link Wray (on vinyl.) Least favorite part: the jamming with the three guys. Expected more jamming, expected better results. Oh well. Final comment: I like Jack White, but I think his whole thing with bleeding on his guitar and the son house trip is a little extreme, like he's overcompensating. self-inflicted pain is no more real than no pain. i say drop the pretense, just play. its ok to be a white boy.
Ah yes, but even Bono has been recorded as saying that: "Even The Edge's Mum calls The Edge, 'The Edge'." To which, Bono and The Edge joked that in certain company, it's "Mr. The Edge."
You mean that short clip with Jimmy Page sitting down and playing? That was a Led Zeppelin concert from I THINK 1970at Royal Albert Hall. I've seen the concert footage before, but I could be wrong about the exact year and venue.
Jimmy Page did the movie because he wanted to. DAMN. It's talking about the guitar, DUH. Why don't you listen. I think the movie will be very interesting. Three of my favourite guitarists talk about guitars, IT'S LIKE HEAVEN!
How can you say it is corporate bullshit mediocrity that is not worth watching with out even seeing it? And who the fuck are you to say something isn't worth watching or making in the first place.
weather it be corporate or something else is totally besides the point. anything with jimmy page is worth watch.the man is a rock legend worthy of your time

And you're sticking up for Jack White and his ridiculous Gene Wilder hairdo? Hate to burst the bubble you've been living in to tell you that listening to old music brings back memories, inbred. Who thinks anything from 2001 is still culturaly relevant..... oh wait you do.
For one thing, Jack White was around making music in the 90's too and there is a lot of good stuff being made these days that reflects the older styles from the 1950-80's. It depends on where you live and how you grow up, man. If you want to diss a great musician that's you're problem.
How could they put those idiots next to JIMMY PAGE ??? The movie should have been just about him! He´s the guitar God.
