John was first the star anchorman on WEWS in Cleveland from 1968 until the mid-70s.
His brother, Judd, was at cross-town WJKW-TV from 1977 to 1981... and at fellow NBC O&O WKYC from 1981-1988 and 1994-1999. (Yes, NBC employed both of them, probably at the same time!)
His other brother, Mike, was at WBAL-TV in Baltimore for many years.
On January 27, 1992, WTVJ debuted 4 News Now from 5 to 6 p.m., with Tony Segreto as anchor. On the same day, Kelly Craig replaced Lichtman as 11 p.m. co-anchor.
Lichtman left WTVJ at the end of February 1992.
Tony Segreto replaced Tom Randles in mid-September 1992.

On July 30, 1990, WTVJ shuffled its anchors yet again, putting Kelly Craig and Bob Mayer at 5, Abrams and Susan Lichtman at 5:30, Craig and Tom Randles at 6, and Randles and Lichtman at 11.
In September, Teresa Rodriguez replaced Lichtman at 5:30.
By the way, do you know when the graphics/theme package in this clip debuted? WTVJ was still using the previous package as late as the first week of September 1989.

Maybe not. It is still owned by NBC for now. That means Post Newsweek & WPLG had blocked any deal for them.
