  • I've been listening to this song over and over again. Such beautiful melodies and harmonies.

  • @MST3KITH guster is the definition of your comment.

  • Shut up, you guys! I am trying to listen to the song!

  • Guster is the shit...not much else music out there better than these guys right meow

  • @JayWaxse I actually laughed when I read your post. Good job, sir. And, yes, Guster rocks.

  • love this song especially the chorus

  • who the fuck gave anyone the right to decide what 'real music' is. if your telling me that pop and rap are 'imaginary music' then maybe you have some mental issues

  • @sootyhoots you are the one who has mental issues! rap and pop are stupid and you need to shut up. ok!

  • @xjfzrq ok!

  • @sootyhoots Well actually, most rap lacks sufficient harmony and melody to satisfy the standard academic definition of music which requires melody, harmony AND rhythm. Most commercial rap is just rhythm, it may occasionally have layered harmonies and simple melodies, but that's basically going back to the same level of sophistication as music created in the 14th century.

  • @dawsondaily werent there actual instruments like violins and mandolins and organs and such in the 14th century? becaue im pretty sure there were and rap might as well go back to prehistoric begginings of music, but ur totally right

  • @cub157 and @ coonb1271

why do you watch this then? if you don't like the band then why the hell are you watching it??

  • Please check out my interview with Ryan Miller of Guster.

Look up: Ryan Miller Of Guster Visits My SUV/Home

  • Couldn't agree more cub157, this shit blows.

  • @xjfzrq AAAWWWWW.......... thanks!!!

  • Shot in Portland, Maine!

  • Saw these guys last night in Buffalo. amazing show.

  • This song just makes me feel good no matter what's going on. I really wish stuff like this made it to the radio.

  • Dammit youtube you sellouts. Your ad worked, but not what I wanted to watch. At least I know what's coming up on ABC Family.

  • you are mentally retarded if you hit the dislike button

  • @MaHoochieMa This sounds like your singing, retard.....Guster sucks and so do you.....

  • @cub157 you want to know what you suck?

  • @xjfzrq what?

  • @cub157 You want to know what you suck?

  • absolutely obsessed!

  • Why is YouTube desactivating this video when you try to share it in your Facebook Wall?

  • Best thing hands down about Guster is that the songs comes from the heart. I wish they got more of the national attention they deserve because their music quality and talent is outstanding.

  • That inflatable cowboy is in so many of their videos! WHAT DOES HE MEAN?!

  • @Maxables It means that people all over the world enjoy a good visual joke. :)

  • Just Awesome!

  • Ahh, I love this song (:

  • 0:19 state theatre in Portland Maine... Maine represent.

  • whoa! get a room at 2:17!

  • INFLATABLE MAN ATTACK!

  • i agree jdtink19:)

  • i saw Guster last night in Chicago best live performance i've seen EVER

  • How can you not just LOVE Guster?! =D

  • THIS is pure commercial pop music !!

But, sometimes, even commercial pop music can be good...

  • Completely forgot this song until i heard the new stone sour song... which reminded me of this.. haha. I love this song.

  • Pop doesn't mean "popular", please people.

This is pop, but TRUE pop. What pop was always meant to be like.

Catchy tunes, repeating words "try, try, try"...

    I love Guster =)

  • Their sound is dated. Very middle of the road 90's.

  • Great song

  • Hi it's Ryan Miller from Guster,

Thanks for everyone's support... fans like you are what we rely on, otherwise we would never have been where we are now.

    -Thanks

  • hey, whats the guster song that got radio play a few years bak. it sounded a bit like Jonah. drivin me nuts. B.L.

  • @kjl5544 poser die

  • @kittysaurusRAWR It actually is Ryan Miller, the lead singer for Guster, seriously i am not a poser

  • @kjl5544 seriously you're an idiot

  • @kittysaurusRAWR i can understand why you might think it's not actually me but it is, and I just wanted to thank you for your support

  • Sorry for the delayed response, I didn't realize this whole argument was going on until I checked my comments. But when I say "pop" I'm talking about Justin Bieber and other disgraces to music. And if you honestly think this band is in that same category, then may god have mercy on your soul.

  • @L2die

yea. this is not pop. i dont know what people are talking about. haha.

  • best unreleased guster song EVER!

    /watch?v=unIXqHReGmE

  • People need to shut up about the music industry being ruined. Mainstream has always been pretty shitty. It's bands like Guster that prove that the music industry is indeed alive and well.

  • thumbs up if you get teary eyed when you hear this band's majestic tune.

  • Magnificent, poetic and lyrical. First time in my life that

I wished that I went to Tufts instead of Williams

  • four people need otoscopic examinations

  • When you disable embedding on a video, you make it impossible for people like us to promote it.

  • Amazing song.

  • obsessed with this song!! wish it was more popular

  • Love Guster. Don't eat them!

  • great video. great song.

  • There is no longer a musical industry, its basically turned into a money machine by throwing out talent and promoting sex appeal.

  • Guster makes me feel....good :)

  • 68 likes? C'mon, multiply it by ten. And that one that dislikes, kiss my butt

  • classic example of a band that doesn't need the fame. They seem to really love what they do.

  • Guster is most underrated band everr

  • Guster is amazing, anyone who says differently i just can't accept. haha sorry.

favorite band since...7 years old? now almost 16 and they're still amazing. i love youGuster(: <3

  • I'll flat out say I'm a metalhead. I love death metal, progressive metal, black metal, but god damn I have a soft spot for these guys. I love Guster! :)

  • The best Guster tune, hands down

  • Mal- we're singing this karaoke again soon!

  • I was at this show.. ah memories.

  • This song is so amazing <3

  • agreed. i always wondered why they didn't make a video for this song, cause this like one of my favorite songs by em'. this counts right?(it seems studio video-esk)

  • @onoj318 It was made during the filming of "Guster on Ice," their DVD. It's images and video from the recording of that, but was never released except on the DVD itself.

  • An awesome song that should've been a huge hit.

  • @jdtink19 - Well your 100 percent correct. But the majority of the population these days can't identify real music when they hear it. Pop and Rap are ruining the music industry. It's a sad sad thing to watch happen because music like this is amazing.

  • @L2die More incredible music for us. i remember 311 in 1995. Then everyone got in on it an MUSIC lost it's underground feel. Same with Phish. YOUTUBEIf you love Guster, check out They Might be Giants, especially snailshell.

  • @L2die Not really. It's people like you who are referred to fifty, a hundred, two hundred years later in history as non-believers. The music you seem to think is "ruining the music industry" is actually what makes up the music industry. It is our music. Ours. Our generation's music. And there is genius in some of it, just like there was genius in Beethoven. Did you know Beethoven was very rebellious? Do you honestly think everyone loved him when he broke most of the rules of his musical era? No.

  • @mimib1230 I'm sorry, you're just wrong. The music you claim to be "our generations music", isn't music at all. For you to compare mediocre pop and rap to Beethoven is moronic in itself. Beethoven knew REAL music more than you can comprehend. While this song by Guster isn't especially intricate in its musical composition, it is still more thought out, more thought provoking, and pleasing on the ears than any of the shallow lyricism of what you claim to be, "our generation's" music.

  • @gtarplyr18 Guster is a pop band, Beethoven is a classical composer. Let's leave it there. Is Guster on par with a Gershwin, Porter, Rogers & Hammerstein, Lennon/McCartney? No, not just yet. But as you say, there is a level of detail and craft in there that is absent from A LOT of what is out there today. I enjoy their work a lot, but when my ipod is on shuffle and they come up against a heavy-hitter, their shortcomings are apparent. Don't take away that this is a great song!

  • @L2die There is some very good rap, and the beatles who are amazing were pop. Its not all cut and dry "rap is bad x is good". But I do agree with you, there is some terrible music being produced. But unfortunately as long as there is an audience for it, it will keep being produced.

  • @L2die uh yeah this is pop, genius. o i'm sorry was there some huge avant garde concept behind this little ditty that i'm missing? lol

  • @L2die uh yeah this is pop, genius. o i'm sorry was there some huge avant garde concept behind this little ditty that i'm missing? lol

  • @Uglyfacewithabigbutt we're talking about two separate "pops" L2die is talking more about mainstream pop, as in what is popular today, whereas your referring to pop as the music genre.

  • @L2die

Shit I love both pop and rap as well as this. Shut it.

  • @L2die This is an amazing song and so is this band, but to be honest, you can't keep bashing pop and rap. I think most of it is crap and all the same, but people like it. You can't tell people what music they should and shouldn't listen to, that's the beauty of music and our world. I agree that it's sad that this band isn't a huge hit, but it doesn't mean i hate lady gaga.

  • you had me until you said u dont hate lady gaga lol

  • @L2die so agree!

  • @L2die I've been a guster fan from the start. I also happen to enjoy rap/Pop and all sorts of music because ART is amazing. Perhaps you shouldn't be such a hater.

  • @L2die haha the fact that you said this clearly shows the type of people who like this band. They are far from real music. They're another average band that has nothing special, no unique quality. Pop and rap are not ruining the music industry. The music industry is still very much alive and well. you're just too arrogant to realize that the music industry is wayyy bigger than your mediocre taste in music and some people (unlike ur band here) actually have talent an deserve to be in the industry

  • @catchergoose1992 Bands like this are what is keeping it alive, the masses are the people who listen to the majority of the crap that is put out on the radio. The masses are also some of the most retarded people on the planet. You must be one of them? I'm not saying all "pop" and/or "rap" is bad, but there is so much garbage put out by some of these artists it just makes it easy to generalize them all together. Fuck Gaga, fuck JB, and fuck you :) .

  • @L2die I hate Gaga and JB too but you have to give them credit for having their own identity. they have no talent i clearly see that and most people do but she's an artist cause she's creative. this band has nothing. they're just like millions of other bands who have no character whose fans want them to make it but there is a reason they wont go anywhere.

  • @L2die I don't like most pop and rap, but you can't say what music is real or not, since that is a relative term when it comes to judging music. If a Lamborghini and a Toyota were being compared, would calling one of them a fake car (or not real) make sense? They are both cars, just drastically different. Saying one of them was not real would not make any sense. Just something to think about.

  • @L2die I can agree with this. Though, it's more Hip Hop that's destroying that aspect because there is some real poetic Rap out there that's worth it. But i am afraid of my generation. They are in the palms of the executives of corporate record labels. The voice will be heard though. Independent labels and projects like this will become the mainstream, and hopefully songs like this will happen, or better. If not, the cycle starts again.

But I love this song, it's an favorite of mine.

  • @L2die very true! rap and pop are a disgrace to music. it is not true music. thank you!

  • @L2die I totally agree, but for heaven's sake, learn some grammar. It's "you're" not "your". You're not in 4th grade, I think you should know better ;)

    Grammar Police, signing off..

  • @dtirk I'm well aware of the different uses of "Your". This is Youtube. I'm not trying to impress anyone with my grammar. So take YOUR opinion somewhere else because no one gives a flying fuck.

  • @L2die If you're aware of the different uses, why would you use it wrong? You're right, you won't impress anyone with using correct grammar. That's like being impressed that someone can tie their own shoes. however, people will judge you to be less than intelligent if you use bad grammar.

  • @dtirk If people are going to judge my intelligence on my slang use of the English language on Youtube, then they are just as retarded as you are.

  • @L2die based on**

  • @dtirk Your is not "slang". It's just wrong. Go Guster!!

  • @dtirk are we seriously having a convo about grammer? just enjoy the music.

  • @Karaboo93 *grammar

    Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @dtirk lol whatever its summer for me. its ok to have slip ups

  • @jdtink19 wasn't it?

  • @jdtink19 Eh..it would've been overplayed. And I would hate myself if I began hating one of their songs.
