  • Wow sry abt the Surgery, I hope u get back ur strength.....how do feel now? How does ur maintain throughout the three months? Do you style up ur hair or just wear it loose?

  • hi Desaudrea how often do you twist your locs?

  • @SexxyMsThing Hi :o) I used to relatch or twist my hair every 4 weeks, but I noticed that my front locs seemed thiner so I have switched to lacthing or twisting (I currently am palmrolling) every 3 months. I had neck surgery in April of this year and I am unable to keep my hands above my head for long periods of time.

  • Thank you so much love!!!

  • Happy Loc a versary! Your locs look really nice!

  • @cat3375 Thank you so much :o) You should see them now lol I just did my first relatch since I posted this video. I will post a new video soon :o)

  • Hello Desaundrea, your hair looks great. Its always good seeing you again.

  • @tmamatheresa Hey Miss T :o) How is everyone? Its nice hearing from you :o)

  • Your hair is growing, I cant wait to see how your daughters hair turned out. I was thinking about locing my twins hair but I think I will wait and let them decide for themselves when they get a little older.

  • @sugawallz910 Brianna is 13 now and I figure if she was old enough to use a flat iron then she was old enough to make the decision to loc her hair. When I said something to her about it around the first of July, she was like " NO". Then I told her to look at some vids, look at pictures and THEN think about her 7th grade school year coming up, when will she have time to do her hair?? LOL she said "Lets do it!" :o)

  • Happy Loc-a-Versary!! Beautiful locs on a beautiful young lady! I'd love to follow you daughters braidloc journey.

  • @msfullroller Thank you :o) I have to get her YouTube link..her father didn't give it to me yet lol I think it would be interesting to here about a loc journey from a young teens perspective :o) I will keep you in the loop.

  • @Desaundrea Please keep me in the loop as well...I'd like to track her progress!! :-)

  • @Kookie28Krisp Well Kookie, the loc journey for Brianna did not go well lol She wasn't separating her locs, washing as needed, she got a bit too lazy lol. So we took her locs out last Sunday. Thankfully because her of her hair texture, I didn't have to cut them out lol. She has asked me for a relaxer. She gave me her reason and I agreed to do it for her. She is a true young lady now. I'm gonna cry while doing it though :o(

  • @Desaundrea Awww....okayyyy!! Well...I know if I had a daughter, I would most definitely let her hair decisions be her own. Especially after a certain age. She'll likely do like the rest of us did (as adults)...and come back to natural after tiring of the upkeep of a relaxed head of hair (years later). lol! Thanks for the update Drea!! I appreciate it! :-)

  • @Kookie28Krisp She is still my beautiful baby girl. MAN her hair is SO resistant to relaxers lol. :o) But she is happy. And your right, she will come back to the nappy side when she is older. :o)

  • Congrats on your 1yr. Loc Anniversary!!!! :-)

  • @FrontLaceLady Thank you :o) I am all ready for year 2 :o)

  • Congrats on your 1 year Loc Anniversary! Congrats to Brianna on beginning her journey!

  • @miacbeam Thank you madam :o) Brianna's journey would go a lot easier if she would keep her hands out of her head lol

  • @Desaundrea Both of my children could not keep their hands out of their head either. LOL. My son ended up getting his cut off, but my daughter still has hers. :-D

  • @miacbeam KIDS!! lol I keep telling her " Hands out off head. Hands out of head!!" I say it so much I end up tapping her hands when I catch her doing it lol I am excited because she has chosen how she wanted to start her locs, and the size. She has even watched me re-latch my hair and decided against it. She said she wants to palm roll her locs herself :o)

  • Happy Loc Anniversary!! I remember when you started. Wow time flys.

  • @mpenny226 Thank you Ms. Penny :o) I know the difference from then and March to now is very obvious. I guess I am doing all the right things with my hair :o)

  • Yay!! Happy 1st Locaversary Sis!! They sure have grown tremendously. I still have a piece of AG's soapbar too...lol Congrats to Brianna starting her braidlocs! Love ya! =)

  • @MzCJA Thank you Sis. I looked back at my first loc journel and was like "Man they grew so fast!!" lol

  • When your locs get longer would you curl your locks? Nice video.

  • @Misshaircare2009 Thank you :o) I was curling my locs when they were shorter lol I curled them for my locivesary 2 weeks ago. and I plan on curling them for hubby's birthday. In the mean time I like to wear them straight, or crimped, and my new thing rolled on the sides like they did back in the old days :o)
