I love this song and Russell singing it. Impressive sung with only the paino. I agree with the notion that if a voice draws you in then it is one worth listening to. Love Russell's voice - warm and rich.
Oh yes, one more thing....most artists would not dare to get up and sing with just a piano in a radio station without a large orchestra backing them up and/or in a recording studio where they can control the accoustics, etc. This is "bare bones" beautiful voice with only a piano as accompaniment.....
i totally agree, he's wonderful. I like his tone so much more than the "greats". Bet they can't do "Georgia" and "Me and Mrs. Jones"....Very, very talented guy. Yes, his voice has improved with age....saw him in Katrina at Carnegie Hall in New York. Both nights were filled to the rafters.................Some people feel like they can't listen to music without being the "critic". Give me a break, you don't know near s much as you think!!!!
I am not sure how old this clip is it must be several years ago,but he has improved vastly since then, he has had a tumor in his nasal area and frontal area of the brain removed (twice) and nearly died both times, he has obviously worked hard to improve on his Italian, and his voice is bigger and stronger these days, he performs with passion and feeling for the love of the songs and his love of life and music, now he is in better health his best is yet to come! see him live and then decide!
i have to disagree with you here.... he has a bad voice .... look at these people and compare them to him later..... pavarotti, pavel lisitsian, violeta rivas, Mario Lanza and caruso.... ther are other too...listen and reply!
Don't try to patronise me young man, I've been listening to these artists (and more) since before you were born. Why do people insist on making comparisons? It's not about who has the 'best' voice or whose version is better. It's about whose voice draws you back time and time again to the beautiful music and for me that voice is Russell Watson's.
So what if you are older, it does not mean you have any higher saying then me.... he has a terrible voice barely reaching the high note... he is not even a tenor.... and what do you mean music is not about comparisons... its all about it.... you always compare people.... plus the other people sing way way better than him.... I listened to him once and never again in my life...
Impeccable, as usual....it doesn't get much better than Russell....and no comes close to his eclectic talent.

Have to disagree with you there, I think it is fantastic, Russell's beautiful singing full of feeling and passion as always.

Well, that's fine. You keep making your comparisons, I'll just carry on listening to and being moved by the music I love.
