My mom’s church does that--claims to take “request hymns” from call-outs in the congregation, but the pianist always has the right page in a 400-page hymnal lined-up (nobody in her church has the courage to do anything spontaneous). Still, this was pretty decent--and makes you wonder what the music world would be like w/o the media giants sticking lawyers into everything.
Fooled me at first too, but the hi-five gave it away, haha.
The guy isn't quite Mickey Thomas, but he's close enough ;-)
I got into the Airplane at about the same time "Jane" was new. I was, and still am, a rabid and faithful Airplanehead, and could never sink my teeth into the post-Red Octopus Jefferson Starship albums. But "Jane" was a guilty pleasure; it had Chaquico's best soloing, and Thomas' best vocal
go listen to Craig's album.... A THOUSAND PICTURES......... this is poo poo compared to what he's REALLY all about.......... this was a good radio hit... but.... that album of which i speak will grow on you amazingly
This must have been staged. Jane is one of the hardest heavy rock songs to sing and some random bloke jumps out of the crowd and belts out a great version? Yeah, right. But entertaining all the same.
Obviously a put on. Like the time I saw Sammy Hagar in Spokane right after Sam left VH and this drummer was handing out flyers right in front of the stage and Sammy had him come on stage and play a song or two. Gets the crowd going though since he comes from the audience.
That's not a fan that's his singer Rolf! I had the pleasure of playing a show with CC and Rolf last year (we did Jane among others) and they are both incredibly nice, humble, friendly dudes. Best people I've met in the music biz in 30 years. Rolf is amazing no doubt.
Great singer alsoooo
