  • Very Good Movie the end had me going WTF!

  • i highly recommend this movie!

  • Really good movie

  • It's my sincerest hope that all these thiefs would meet the same end. I hate thrives. They are probably the lowest form of criminal.

  • @dirtyal1234 what about murderers? rapist? serial killers? pedophiles? da fck up

  • I wish I didn't just read these comments. Aboutta fuck my own mind with my first movie on my Netflix trial.

  • @SCHIZOPHRENlC what do you mean??

  • @jesusgaytan1995 I read the comments before watching the movie. It's still a great film.

  • He is such a dick to be honest

  • ending is so anticlimactic

  • @lrobitaillle Yeah but it left you to think did he die or was the whole thing a way to escape with all the money

  • better than both matrix sequels combined

  • I think Kaspar faked his own death, he did say he was 2 steps ahead so i think hes somewhere is Europe watching soccer and enjoying life =P

  • this movies so badass.

  • what happened goddamnit who wants a sequel?

  • I saw this movie on Netflix about 4 hours ago & I've been trying to find out what happened to Carr & now that I know it was fake I came to a conclusion that my mind just got f***ed

  • best fucking movie

  • i watched this movie one day and coulnt dicide wheather to believe it was real or fake

  • That's it i'm not reading anymore comments for trailers.. seriously you people are a bunch of dicks. You ever heard of the words SPOILER ALERT? Use it

  • wow the fact that its fake ruined it

  • Whatta fuckin movie man...Five *'s

  • I found this movie while searching through netflix. Never heard of it before, thought I'd give it a watch, and this is easily one of the best movies I've ever seen. Also, for the record, you can tell that it's fake in the beginning parts of the movie, but it doesn't ruin it at all. These guys need to make more movies.

  • i started out watching this trailer paused it thinking it was real, legit, gonna be dope to watch. let it finish loading(slow ass internet) started reading all these damn reviews, just to find out its FAKE come on.....

dont give shit like that away in comments.kills the excitement and shit

  • Sick movie. the movie theater job had me wondering how he didn't set off the alarm especially with the motion detectors placed so high. Then he opened the back door like it was no big deal, but needs to go through the wall to get to the safe? Plus safes have shelves and compartments how could he get all the money out like that. I liked the movie don't get me wrong but I started wondering during that burglary.

  • was dissapointed when i found out it was movie not documentary. but still good

  • omg i srsly tough 100% that this was real when i heard it was fake i just got disapointed:/

  • This movie is up there with Stoic! in the way that it really shows you how Criminals.... Real Criminals think, act and commit their crimes... Balder guy is genius he should be a big dog in Hollywood and maybe bring some depth back to it.

  • Just watched this randomly on Netflix and LOVED IT. Great music, suspense and realism.

  • although "street theif" was filmed as though it were a documentary, the movie and story line are fictional. Kaspar Karr is played by actor Malik Bader.

loved the movie though, glad i didnt know it was fictional until after the fact, had me on the edge of my seat!

  • @civilizedidiot spoiler alert

  • @civilizedidiot i down ranked this because people googling the movie that want a trailer may read this. like you, i am very happy to have watched it and felt it was real, prior to learning it was a faux-documentary. i still suggest it to my friends and ask that they watch it without reading reviews as that would spoil the whole movie.

  • If you want to see this online for free here is a little hint. Get netflix for free under a 2 week promotion. Go online and look up netflix free trial, its usually for 2 weeks, so watch this movie and every other one you want to as well. Usually it's some sort of code that you put in on netflix. Enjoy.

  • @mike548 my boss was telling me about this movie today cuz he has netflix. i wanna see it. it looks so good

  • @MizzVP1987 It's awesome definitely one not to miss.

  • im not like him but, i've hit licks not "scores", i've hit licks and scored so.. KACHING!!

  • whether nor not this movie is real ... the movie theater was next door to my work with made it awesome!

  • I had a weird feeling about this movie. How could a burglar be that successful and had never been caught? This woulda been better as a regular movie not a documentary that you don't know is fake until later.

  • FAKE. I watched this as if it were the real deal, and yes I thought it was legit, although I though the scene of Casper beating the door open of the market up on the fire escape under a light too brazen. Then in the credits, I did not see "Casper Karr", so I started to wonder.... Sure enough it's about as real as Avitar. If o knew this at the start I would not have bothered.

  • @soundmapper of course its fake dude no real street theif would let camera guys tag along its a pseudo documentary dumbass

  • @soundmapper Goddamn you're fucking stupid. Do you only watch movies that are non-fiction?

  • Cool!

  • Comment removed

  • This movie is my shit.

  • fucking amazing

  • Great Movie. You should watch it to the end.

  • It's fucking awesome!

  • not feeling this movie

  • Just watched it on NETFLIX. Fantastic movie!

  • GREAT MOVIE!!!

  • hey does anyone know where i can watch this video for free online. ty

  • This is a fake documentary but nevertheless a good job at it. Every technique is depicted with incredible accuracy. The director and Kaspar are the same person. Also, the Chicago Tribune clippings in the movie are fake. Just some proof.

  • hey do u know where i can watch this video online for free. your help would great. thx.

  • I was at one of the festivals and I heard him getting interviewed by journalists and such one of them shouted ,when they saw the director WAS the criminal, "Why aren't you in jail!?" Anyway, Malik said he had FIRST HAND knowledge, that could mean he actually robbed people, or he was asking the burglar he had on set what happens. I also saw the Jailbird guy with long hair. That could mean he was the burglar. I asked him about it, he said he actually did time. Could be fake.

  • I really don't know that this is fake. Some of you say Malik Bader who produced and directed is the same person who "plays" the thief, I don't see any kind of crediting to support that. In fact their are NO actor credits at the end of the movie. If these guys can make a "fake" documentary about true crime look so real then they should be fucking legends. I've been to county jail and prison. I know criminals.

  • i love this film

  • no.. sorry

  • I saw it on A&E and I knew it was fake because it's like why would a thief film himself, especially a really good one? And the chainsaw in the film? C'mon, you gotta be a little quieter than that. Still I was taken with the film and loved it.

  • Hammand, chainsaw? You mean the tool he used to cut into the safe in the movie theater? That was a metal cutting wheel, not a chainsaw.

  • Ah, okay, but it was still loud, right? You'd think a thief would be friends with silence. I'd be paranoid if I was working with that type of noise.

  • Yes, silence would definately be the preferred option, but in the movie theater, I could see how the noise wouldn't get noticed. It was a huge place, and they were inside a small closed office deep in the building, with 1/4 mile of empty parking lots and streets surrounding the theater, so they would have been ok I think.

But, the movie was fake anyway, so who cares? lol

  • i still feel this documentary is amazing i wish kasper carr was a real burglar

i was fascinated after watching this and the next day spent all day researching and trying to lockpick

within 7 hours i picked my first lock with a safety pin it was amazing! haha

  • she is correct i didnt believe it but the producer malik badar played the role of kasper carr

he said that a real thief accompanied them when filming to make it seem more accurate

but kasper carr is actually malik badar the producer of the documentary

  • Elmer, did you hear it's fake from a reliable source? I was extremely impressed by how realistic it seemed, and thought to myself that either this is real, or this guy is ONE HELL OF A GREAT ACTOR, and they must have had real thieves as technical advisors.

But like Hammand said, why would a professional thief allow his heists to be captured on video? And, would a film maker take a huge risk by tagging along on heists? lol That's why I doubted its authenticity. But, it's still a masterpiece.

  • No. There are laws that require the allowance of that footage to be non-incriminating for research purposes. I think Kaspar was honestly tired of living alone... I would be at least. Maybe that question of why would he even let them do that is why this is so mysterious.

  • Dude, it wasn't real, it was fiction. "Kaspar Carr" was played by Malik Bader, who was also the director of the movie.

  • yeah, raleigh420 is right, it's not a real documentary. The "thief" is like, the director. I know, I met the guy when he showed the movie. The film is so good, you think he's real (I thought he was till I saw the "jailbird" dude sitting in the row ahead of me).

  • do you know anywhere i can watch this whole movie online? im dying to see it again but i dont really want to spend 25 bucks

  • You mean steal it? You do realize the irony of that statement in context, right?

  • yes, i do mean steal it. i dont see the irony in my statement i just said i want to see it without paying for it. maybe you mean the irony is that i want to steal a movie about stealing things?

  • The irony is the fact that the film is about the evils of stealing. SPOILER: He fucking dies at the end.

  • haha its the complete opposite. kaspar faked his death in the film. its easy to fake your death like that u withdraw a little bit of blood every day and save it in the refrigerator, then splatter it all over the place. even the forensic scientist said its impossible to know if osmeone is dead jus by the amt of blood at a crime scene

  • No. He dies. Either way, it doesn't matter. It's a made up story. It's not real.

  • Where did you get the dvd at ?

  • I have this film on dvd, and I really wanna know what happend to the man?!?!?!

  • this isnt a real documentary, the guy is still alive. an excellent film nevertheless

  • i got the dvd!!!!

  • A very involving film. Watched it on June 21st and couldn't believe what I was watching. Five Stars!

  • If anyone finds a full version of this online, let me know ASAP plz!!!

  • i second tht

  • get netflix

  • This was just SHOCKING!! I couldn't believe it was on television. I really wanna watch it again, but it doesn't come back on a & e until july 1st.

  • ARE YOU SERIOUS! (god-damn...)
