Yes - Providing you keep the thumb down and not spread as in the one handed backhand. With the eastern grip and the thumb spread it locks the wrist which is great for the one handed backhand. With the thumb down it loosens the wrist which is perfect for the serve.
hmm... that grip is better for slice serves right? i use close to 1 handed backhand eastern for my serves, would this be a good grip to use in your opinion?
This is a question you should be asking your self, which one are you more comfortable with
I myself use a 2 handed backhand.
