  • Used to spend a lot of time there with my dad when I was around 10. Can still remember them building the new roof on the main engine shed, the foot bridge at Andrew's house station and the signal box at Marley hill.

I got to drive a couple of the diesel locos (No.2 and Ruston) around occasionally which was always fun.

    Feeling quite nostalgic watching this.

  • epic!

  • Being a short walk away from were I live, I remember it starting up. One day before it opened, I and my wife were walking near and were privileged to be invited into the main engine shed, where voluntee engineers were working renovating old engines in readiness to haul passengers.

  • Thanks - we don't get much snow here in the 'south'! Glad to see the bleak North lives up to its image. I do appreciate a man with a tripod! Noticed Bob with his woolly hat and the festive fire in the 'box. Quite Christmassy!.

  • yeah its bleak so stay away southern softy lol
