I was actually playing this on my NES a couple of days ago. What's awesome is that even though it doesn't have save states and I had to use passwords, instead of writing them down I just used the camera on my phone. It worked surprisingly well too, so that's really nice.

PPS: I plyed this game so much as a little kid that all the musics are engraved in my memory... Truely terrific soundtrack indeed.

PS: I know some guys made a patch to apply on the rom of the game, giving it nice new colors, script, hidden items revealed and so on...

Gosh this game was hardcore for me as I'm not a native English speaker ... Didn't know about the keys or the fountains ahaha . Good times though.

Did you even pay a speck of attention to what he said? He simply stated this game "kind of resembled Zelda 2". That's it. The two games are very different, yes, but they do in fact resemble each other. If you can't see that, you are just plain blind or drunk, pal.

I miss games like this. Top down rpgs are nice, but sidescrollers like this have their own charm. Also this game just oozes atmosphere. What I als appreciate is how consistent the gameworld has been designed. You really start at the bottem of the tree and work your way up through the trunk through parts that are still all foggy from the smoke of the impact from the meteor that brought the "evil one"

Well, Odinspack33, if you had used that life refill trick, that it would've saved you 400 Golds, and that if you had talked to that first guy again on your way out of Eolis, that he would've said that that next town is called Apolune, huh :)? Grinding refers to gaining experience or money in most RPGs, but skateboarding would make this game better I think. =)
