i think that light should become a shinigami and drop his deathnote into the human world. that is how the series should end, to prove that light will forever prevail. light is JUSTICE.
I know there is some debate within the death note fan community as to the validity of this, but the one dead give away of it being recut from other panels in the manga is the fact that Light is wearing a suit in some panels, and a robe/regular shirt in others.

I just finished watching the series and i love this ending so much more.. only one thing should have happened, but didnt. Neer should have died or should have been L. I hate Neer. So much. I like L so much more.

I don't like the beginning part how he's grew old, because that means he killed all of my favorites characters, but i like how it continues. I think they should add this after Light died, it would be interesting. Another season of Death Note. Starting at 0:45!

Movie: In the second movie L finds out it is Light and Light is defeated. But in "L Change the world" it is said that he wrote his name in the death note to avoid being killed by Rem. And he apparently wrote "L.Lawliet" in the Death Note. But he won't die because that is not his birth name

L told Near that L had no parents implying that he was an orphan so if they don't have a have a name then they gave you a name but L's name couldn't be L until they found out if he was going to be a detective. I mean look at A,B,M,and N. It's not like their names are actually beyond birthday (etc.) don't worry there is a page on it :)

@Naruto59615 Yeah the idea of light winning is good, but light would never say Im tired of a life of killing. Because he thinks hes saving people he wouldn't put it like that. If it were up to me, i'd make light win but L set some elaborate trap to get him caught. Idk just an idea.

@Naruto59615 yeah it was a really bad ending ... even retarded .. the good guys win blah blah ... the same shit happens in every anime .. i wanted the bad guys( Light is acutually the good one in my opinion) to win ... i was not expecting the others to die in 40 seconds .. I was expecting everyone who had a gun to kill themselves .. leaving only N and Light alive and than a little talking .. and showing the world after some years...

Anime: It is said after Light dies, that Ryuk gave Near the "Death Note eraser" and so he erased L's name and then he became alive
Movie: In the second movie L finds out it is Light and Light is defeated. But in "L Change the world" it is said that he wrote his name in the death note to avoid being killed by Rem. And he apparently wrote "L.Lawliet" in the Death Note. But he won't die because that is not his birth name

@NightLion7 how would Near know L's real name and more importantly y would he bother to resurrect L..considering he wants to become the new L. So leaving L dead would probably be the most likely thing to happen but of course im just speculating

@awesomness180 Well, Near did in fact know L and it is because L took care of them before he supposidly died but no one knows L's true name because L told Near that he didn't have parents implying that he was an orphan so they just gave him a name which was L and L wrote the name "L.Lawliet" in the death note in the movie "L. Change the world" so he wouldn't die because it isn't his real birth name

So, in the movie "L. Change the world" L writes his name in the death note to avoid being killed by Rem and in the same movie L helps two kids one boy and one girl I forgot the girls name but L takes the boy over to the wammy orphanage (where L was taken care of) and so what happened was L and the boy grew a strong bond and L named the boy Near so wouldn't near revive L

Near would have to erase every name in the death note and track down alot of people to find L if he ever does. But that would be just plain stupid and a waste of time. Ur theroies make sense but if think about it there are some holes in them

@SonicMegaman8769 OK I understand your point, but here is why I think that L's real name isn't L Lawliet. L told Near that L had no parents implying that he was an orphan so if they don't have a have a name then they gave you a name but L's name couldn't be L until they found out if he was going to be a detective. I mean look at A,B,M,and N. It's not like their names are actually beyond birthday (etc.) don't worry there is a page on it :)
