  • MISS YOU FRANK :( ..............R.I.P FRANK

  • The esence of what is human beauty in universe. This song is a spaceship,it takes me way out there.Thank you Frank.

  • Just plain beautiful. My favorite Zappa solo, hands down.

  • I remember listening to this song at 2:00am on 11-26-1993 iced in in Euless,Tx. But I had 4 quartz of Miller beer,a pack of Camels, and a pair of a/d/s speakers with a Threshold amp driving them.

  • "Who gives a fuck anyway?"

  • I heard this song for the first time in Y Tu Mama Tambien movie. I strongly recommend this film.

  • @josmdg I saw that movie in a dollar store in the mall. Not sure if want.

  • @Lijiah Probably because it's a foreign film and not alot of people would be into that kind of thing.

Well, anyway, just thought I'd tell you - I STRONGLY recommend the movie. It's a really good one. It's in English subtitles if you can't understand Spanish.

  • One of my favorite instrumentals of all time.

  • well what can you say to that other than PHEW

  • This track is sublime.

  • I first heard this at the end of Y Tu Mama Tambien. I sat through the credits just listening to this song. It really brings the viewer to reflect on the movie.

But that aside, I definitely will be listening to this alot more in the future. This is one of those songs that just stirs you up inside. Awesome tune.

  • @SteveElMonk86

same with me. everytime i hear this from now on, i'll remember how i felt after that movie. not a bad feeling.

  • this is the time, the place where all things meet and make sense in it's chaos.

so beautiful and touching, closest thing to heaven in audio format. I feel like that goddamned water mellon, just happy to lay in that easter hay and dream, nothing matters, nothing.

    Thank you Frank.

  • ♫♫♫ ♥♥♥ ♫♫♫

  • I very seriously think this is the greatest guitar work ever to appear on any album since the Dawn of Time itself...

  • just one fucking word after that WOW

  • 0 dislikes, perfect.

  • @jimmyt1222 if someone said they disliked they would be lieing

  • Mustache = cool

  • nice intro. i started laffin a second before he did. i'm on the wavelength with you frank. RIP.w/ all the beer, titties and lucky strikes you can consume, for all eternity. and no elevator music.

  • A beautiful piece from Frank one of his best; an exceptional composer as well as guitarist.

  • Excelente canción, es hipnotizante, la escuche por primera vez al ver los creditos de la pelicula de Y tu mama también.

  • listen to this on vinyl... amazing! thanks for that!

  • Oh shit... I came in my pants... again... and again... and again...

  • "Who gives a F*** anyway *laughs*....Excuse me...." LOL's

I love this track, every time I listen to this I am :D I love you Frank!!! I miss the trips... we had together into an imaginary frenzy... RIP baby RIP ♥♥♥

  • number 1

  • For me, this fantastic, dreamy track is about being in love during the hot, sweet summer of 1983.

I listened to Joe's Garage countless times then and love it still. Thanks Frank.

  • its like frank was clairvoyant! i also heard it first long ago as a child, the whole album is a ride! the "constitution" in the us may not survive.

  • Yup, same here, or versions with a Trojan horse, lots a PC probs, but, hmmmm, this is sooo chill! TNXXX

  • ενα παλιο γλυκο θαυμαστικο !

  • Happy birthday Frank Zappa 21/12/2011

  • I think the live version of this on Hammersmith-Odeon is incredible. It's really fast compared to this, but it's still awesome.

  • nice to hear this again after 35 years.

  • @perothing oh yeah...i'm pretty shure that he used a mxr flanger here. I had one in the 70-ties and it sounded the same.

  • He knows the end is near: imaginary guitar notes exists only in the mind of the guitarist..

SPREAD THE WORD! SPREAD THE MUSIC! SPREAD THE IMAGINARY GUITAR NOTES...

  • Surprized probaly the best guitar solo played to makind an just over 16000 hits, this is a track i can listen to over and over turned rgt up fucking brilliant man..............

  • Hmm, I thought the '88 Barcelona version sounded great. Maybe you guys just need some better speakers. Mine are Altec-Lansings. Right now, the pictures in my place are about to vibrate off their nails and my neighbor is pounding on his side of the wall and screaming something.

I can't hear him. The music is kinda overwhelming, eh?

  • the best music in thw universe

  • frankie you are the best of the best , pourquoi les plus grands de ce monde nous quittes et nous laisse dans la pauvretée musicale, merci frank por tous les grands voyages que j'ai fait avec toi, a jamais le meilleur musicien iconoclaste du monde FRANK ZAPPA

  • frankie you are the best of the best

  • this reminds me of my childhood.

  • Zappa should be the word we use for all things that exceed the standard. Greatest American musician ever, sad how he never got the recognition he deserves in America. Greatest musician ever as far as I'm concerned.

  • @bouncingczechs This song is Zapptastic!

  • @CreadorMex Outstanding song! Zappa > all!

  • I wonder how long it will take for Zappa to get acknowledged as the great artist he was, and not just some funny guy with one hit single.

Well... Who gives a fuck anyway.

  • Why is this not included in the top 100 best solos, or for that matter the top 1? this is the ultimate solo, no doubt. stunning stuff. people always think of Frank for his more.....erm what shall I call it, strange.... Frank did this to prove he was not a weirdo he just played the way he wanted. But he proved that he was what most of us knew..... One of the best, if not the best IMO that ever lived. R.I,P Frank. this will always be my benchmark. X

  • If I had to listen to only ONE song for the rest of my life ... this is it, but I could loose the central scrutinizer..... some of the live versions I dig, but the studio version is it for me ....

  • @trollkarlnet not the same without the central scrutinizer thats wat he does

  • "....and ultimately who gives a fuck anyway so hahahaha excuse me"

This is the song that i want to be played at my funeral (in the far far future)!!

i can never seem to keep my eyes dry listening to this at a high volume

  • really good song

  • This song is as lonely as we humans are in a big big big universe...

  • FRANK ZAPPA KICKS FUCKING ASS!!

  • One of the best solos ever by anyboddy.

  • As funny as J.G. was, this almost seems to have a sadness to it..................it almost seems out of place on this great album. Easily one of Frank's best instrumentals.

  • when my time comes. i would love for this to be the last ting i hear

  • If I ever make a movie this has just got to be the soundtrack, why oh why Isn't this man an outright phenomenon;god bless him & all who listen to him R.I.P.FRANK "hungry freaks daddy".

  • If you've ever seen the Mexican film "Y Tu Mama' Tambien" then you'll know that Gail Zappa allowed the producers to use this song over the closing credits. When I saw that movie it had been so long since I had listened to "Joe's Garage" that I didn't recognize it, even though I knew that I knew the song well. Then I read the song credits and it hit me! What a beautiful song. So watch that film sometime, Zappa fans. There are also some nice boobies. Gotta like the boobies.

  • THIS IS IT ......ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !

  • sencillamente maravilloso!!! te hace experimentar la sensación de plena libertad como nada más en el mundo. Lo AMO!

  • @ziggyente1 "simply wonderful! makes you experience the feeling of complete freedom like nothing else in the world."

    :-)

  • FRANK ZAPPA FOR PRESIDENT , wait a minute he is dead , ANYBODY FOR PRESIDENT

  • And Ultimately who gives a fuck anyway LOL

  • Please ! ! ! read the following: Last week, I was (again), at the inceneration of an old friend; Threligious service saiys "and now let listen his favorite tune" (nothing with FZ), but about less than one inaudible minute, the reverend stops the music !

I've choosen this one (exactly) and in my last wills, I need THE WHOLE STUFF !

Or I come back as a ghost to scare every people who don't love Franck ! ! ! !

  • Studio, kind of. The beautiful snaking guitar solo that bursts in at around 4.00 minutes was recorded live and overdubbed onto a the studio backing track (a methodology regularly employed by Frank, especially towards the end of his life/career). Not sure but I think I was at the very concert in Hammersmith Odeon, London when it was recorded. Ha! I'd like to imageinen so anyway...A wonderful, wonderful track. What a tragic loss

  • just amazingly beautiful, makes you learn play guitar

  • ditto the coments re;studio version, this tune demands clarity & this is what we have here,my all time favorite tune, by any artist,a true masterpiece, and i first heard this nearly 30 yrs ago.R.I.P Frank

  • HVR welcome back and thanks for the zappa

  • Voy a llorar!!!

  • @ArenaNath es una rola hermosa

  • Thank you HighVoltageRobot, one of my favorite Zappa tunes.

  • Yo....thanks for putting up a studio version, HighVoltageRobot. All I could find was live ones that sounded like shit.

  • @LarryTheIceCube fuck u
