  • Very informative

  • give me lint to download this, plz!!!!!

  • suspenders swag

  • no number 2?

  • Thank you soooooooooo much for sharing

  • My wedding is so soon inchallah .. i want to learn how 2 dance Tango cuz i wanna Dance with my husband in my wedding party

  • it reminds me of karate haha.

  • You see tango is not like life. If you tangle up you tango on and that is the beauty of it

  • The Lessons are great, however there are a few minor details not focused on the video. One of the details is the step. Always must land on the Toes or the forward part of your foot and the rest follow down. Tango is a Grounded Dance.

Another detail is the brushing of the angles. This adds to the style of the dance. One of the most important is the Triangular position of the couple. Chest Forward not parallel as most instructions show. Hold the balance with the body slanted slightly forward.

  • @fairypixi28 Not necessarily :D. With International Standard Tango, the dance travels. This can be integrated into Argentine for a more integrated expression of the song ^_~.

  • Tango is a passion, and a seducation game!

  • Am I the only one dancing by myself in my room.

  • @communitychannel1fan yea maybe...

  • What kind of Tango is this?

  • @Radim24

This is Argentine Tango. Do not confuse it with International Style or American Style. It is growing rapidly in the states and you can dfind good instruction everywhere and major festivals / workshops in every major city.

  • Aclaraciones sobre la base del tango... ¿Flaco no te enseñaron que el tango se baila al compás? Si en las clases de video mueven las patas una semana después del otro no me quiero imaginar en la pista.

  • Hello- I'm fairly new to tango but feel like a old soul because it's so familiar to me. So much so that many times as I practice alone or when lucky enough to have a parner I find myself with tears of joy as large as those of a crocodile. The lessons found here courtesy of Luzdecordoba are a blessing to me because they seem to give me an advantage in classes (whenever I can afford to attend them here in the San Francisco Bay Area- Berkeley California) which are given as 8 week courses.

    Thanx...

  • Go to his account for #2 or suscribe to luzdecordoba

  • dude wheres #2?! i need 2 see number 2!

  • oh my God this is so boring, my teacher is an ass he want us to dance tango!

  • Could anybody give me some tips on how to learn tango without a partner? XD Should I just pose as if I have a partner and dance with the air? or is there some other way? XD

    Thanks.

  • @BananFail Yeah that's about right. Until you get a partner you will have to practice your part solo.

This is what I did when I started salsa and it helps to improve your skills between visits to classes or clubs.

  • @BananFail You may follow the steps in videos but the critical concept of good Argentine Tango is the connection which you must learn with partnrs - yes plural as it is a magical thing that you may not find with partners who don't understand connection

  • Very helpful, the close-ups, and the separate roles! Thanks!

  • I have taken three classes (2 in Buenos Aires and 1 in Los Angeles). I have learned more here than there. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

  • tnx you i live in mongolia

  • me gusta como se pronuncia TANGO (thango)

    xDD

  • Hello everyone!

I´m Colombian, I´ve recently arrived from a long trip arround latinamerica, including Argentina... now I´m taking some tango classes here in Colombia... I just wanted to share it with you all... Wish me luck!

  • @Videomember82 im colombian too! GOOD LUCK!!!!

  • o far out!

I'm attending a friend's formal, and we're supposed to dance this. Well, actually he's not my friend.. just a person I knew from school. Awkward. D:

Ahh, gotta have a knowledge on this. :\

  • I love to dance (I'm not a great dancer, but I am a good one). To me, the tango is the most expressive, sensual, and beautiful social dance I've ever done (and I've done waltz, swing, salsa, cajun, contra, and the various sorts of American rock dance).

This is a very good instructional video.

  • Too complicated

You can't learn it just for a wedding or a ball. If you learn it you must keep dancing every week, else you forget the steps

  • My Highschool teacher is using these vids to teach it to us in class, and we're having loads of fun.:) Thank you for uploading them!!<3

  • my lady friend knows how to tango, so im hoping these videos help me empress her

  • wow totally sweet the best dance video ever! I love how this video lays all the subtilties and details out matter of fact... the section on balance is exactly the same as good martial arts footwork

  • thx

  • I couldnt find the rest of the lessons from #13 till #20. Is that all from 1 to 13?

  • Likewise, I can not find them either :(

  • There are 36. They're all on youtube just got to hunt a bit.

I managed to find all of them but not all on one person's channel.

  • Hello everyone!

Well, I'm Argentine and I say this is the most sensual dance I met in my life!

I hope to dance with ease, but I think that's impossible!

It is very difficult, and now to be a great dancer, you have to dance a lot!

    Well, bye! xD

From Rosario, Argentina ... The 2nd City of Tango ... (It is a neighboring city to Buenos Aires

    )

  • @emanuelsims2 ...hi there...uhm would really want 2 know how 2 dance tango and all other dances from argentina ansd columbia(bachata,samba,salsa,etc)...can u i don't know send me some videos 2 learn...and some music:d...?...pls reply...

  • prom in 1 month and i really need to learn how to dance! aaaah i so suck

  • @twisted709 People dance at prom? Thought kids now a days just dry humped.

  • @WarpathWrel haha nah im from south africa, we still have some sense of "morals" lol no offence to US though

  • chance8yes: I totally agree, these are the three best: Dario's tango guide, tango helena and tangocity. If you speak spanish search for negro carillo clases de tango. From someone who has been dancing tango for 10 years.

  • TangoCity is precise, clear and exactly what a good teacher should do to have best results. Most of the time teachers (not qualified) are too busy showing off to clearly demo. My research with teaching (extensive) says slow motion is the only way, with repetitions, guided by clear explanations. You are getting some of the best here, Tango with Federico is also very good.

  • I found Tangocity a year ago when I knew nothing about Argentine tango. But everthing in slow motion confused me more than it helps and that made me abandon Argentine tango. Recently I saw Dario's Tango Guide and it shows how Argentine tango is done in real time and made it simple. That made me start to learn this dance. Tango Helena does is the next best. Tangocity would have been the best series if it simply cuts off some slow motion stuffs and just show the real dance in real time!

  • European tango 's more conservative ?

True, we invented ballroom tango, because we were embarrassed by the proximity and the sensuality of this dance. but that was in the 1900s....

Now, Paris, London and Berlin, along with Italy are with Buenos Aires and New York the most prominent tango scenes in the world. The only difference is in the abrazo, in France, we dance more on the side, while in Italy or Spain, it's more chest to chest, like in BA. Come check it out !

  • One of the three best tango series on YouTube: Along with, Dario's Tango Guide and, Tango Helena

  • Is this American or Argentinian Tango?

  • there is no American Tango. Only European and Argentinian. This one is Argentinian! It is more passionated and has more body contact than the EU which is more conservative.

  • luzdecordoba !! is there a torrent link for the download this? I couldn't find anything about this tutorials :) if you help i would be happy :)

  • 5:20

  • Best Start in Tango on Youtube, amazingly clear and straight learning...

  • This series was recorded and broadcast over ten years ago on the Argentinian TV channel "Solo Tango".

  • well im a gold dancer... i do the basics a little bit diffrent :D but that is ok, too...

  • yes...im also used to start with the "2" step, among other things

  • Very informative. This kind of stuff is great to know if ur a beginner. Nice job. i learned alot. ^^

  • i want to tango.

  • Amazing lessons! Thanks so much.

  • good i like to dance TANGO

  • I dont do it like this....huh...

  • lets have a look at your video then!

  • This does look real. Though at my tango class the cross wasn't included in the basic step and was taught as an another figure.

  • this video is awful

  • how can i download all lessons?

    please help

  • I can burn this to a CD and it will work on my pc but not my girlfriends. Does anyone have a fix?

  • LOL !!!

  • GREAT! Thanks a lot...

  • Just yesterday I were at my schools´ masquerade ball, there I saw a beautiful girl, who I`m in love of, just sitting there, while the others were dancing and I was too scared to ask her to dance cause of my lack of dancing skills. Now I´m gonna learn to dance even if it´s the last thing I do! xD Btw, thanks so much for the video post! This is very helpful!

  • yea man i definitely know what you mean there...... i have some situation like that where i cant really dance and im shy..

  • NICE I LIKE IT

  • lol

  • They are both correct. There are several forms of Tango. This one looks like the Southern style. None are wrong just different. Ballroom Tango has European and Argentine Tango. Also Basic and Advanced are different. Start with a solid Basic course, preferably with a group class. You'll learn both how to lead and follow. Be patient and get a solid foundation, enjoy the dance. Enjoy the Music, enjoy yourself. The rest will come in due time.

  • so beautiful and easy

now i just have to find someone to dance with me rsrsrsrs

  • so beautiful,i want to learn it too

  • wow, I've always wanted to learn how to do the tango

  • How can I obtain a DVD of this lesson?

  • en sevdiğim danssssssssss

  • Ok im really confused half the comments are saying this is wrong and half are saying its right but not traditional...which is it please because i really want to learn? :S

  • I am learning with one of the clasisc dancers of birulaso, and in my first lesson he teached me the same

  • lmao why do they show it in sloww motion!

  • Who cares? its still a sexy dance nonetheless

  • just dance it to know

  • I thought the basic in tango was walking.... oh yeah, and I don't like Mora's shoes.

  • And I'm not at all slamming Osvoldo or Mora. They are both incredible dancers. I just don't enjoy how they teach the 8 count as the tango base. Look into Oscar Casas' lessons. THAT man knows how to teach traditional argentine tango.

  • and you're right tango has become global, it got big break in the U.S although the break it got was in ballroom tango which is almost nothing like argentine tango. so don;t blame osvaldo, who is one of the greatest dancers in the world, for making up another tango blame the ballroom scene

  • there is no tango base? are you insane? why don't you know what you're talking about before you talk. the base has 8 steps and it is always portrayed in tango. the figures come OFF the basic step.

  • No, astartis is right. Yes, unfortunately, tango is taught with this 8-count base. But it's a horrible thing to teach beginners. Tango is walking. Tango is connection. THAT is how tango is danced. Get them comfortable with walking. THIS is the base of tango. Everything then comes off of that.

  • This "basic step" as people know it is used as a didatic way to teach tango, and was created by argentinian dancers who used to make shows in europe, and needed to create something that would be simmilar to tango, so they could give classes for the people who enjoyed their show, and wanted to learn how to dance during the 1 or 2 days that the dancers were in the city presenting. Because of this, this "basic step" was created. Read "Tango - The Structure of the Dance" By Mauricio Castro.

  • this is not how tango is danced. There is not such thing as the base.Even osvaldo is not dancing like than any more.Search the youtube for some really tango.

  • I Love dancing even though i am fat you can see my videos i am kashspice but i just always wanted to learn tango and argentine tango

  • sweeeeeeet

  • ive always wanted to learn the tango and i think this is an awesome video because it really does help. and all the girls like it. im only 13

  • What type of tango is this?? (Argintinian or american, or that other type?)

  • Argentine tango

  • This is a Argentino type ( similar al Oriental tango)

  • El Tango es Argentino, o en todo caso Rioplatense con los hermanos uruguayos.

Los gringos no bailan tango, son unos cachivaches...

    Es la posta

    Saludos

  • ignaciomendi the argentians have lost the ball. Tango is a global thing today and thanks to your bad tango teachers it has been spread in the world with its worst commersial form. Besides that one of your biggest love is soccer right? Well with the same logic you are not supposed to play or to enjoy it.

    Saludos.

  • dude! i always dance tangooo ... is the best couple dance of the worldd! i will dance like al pacino in "Scent of a Woman" ... that music is awesomeee!! (por una cabeza)

  • Many thanks for this video!

  • nice!

  • GENIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAL! ( pero ... en ingles !!!)

  • Yes - it is in English - and you say that, as if it's a bad thing - I think of it as a great compliment! I think of it as: The Tango is that great (I have seen it in Buenos Aires, and my primary language is English) - The Tango is so great, that other countries, other societies, are in awe of and admire it - and would love to learn! What's wrong with that? It's what brings this world closer! No other dance has the passion like the Tango - and I'm English speaking!
