A Macska duetett (Hofi:Barta Károly , Koós :Kovács Andor)

  • Il dueto bufo di due gatti, es el titulo, algunos dicen que son dos gatos enamorandose. Yo no lo creo porque es un dueto comico. Pero todos los que he visto aqui exageran, y no se nota la bella musica de esta obra de Rossini,

  • haha they're so cute

  • Purrrrrr! You guys are the cat's pajamas!

  • kinda awkward, but it was sort of good as well..

  • muito brega!!!!!!

  • la ñonga

  • The music consists, in order of appearance, of: - the "Katte-Cavatine" by the Danish composer C.E.F. Weyse

    - part of the duet for Otello and Iago in Act 2 of Otello

    - part of the cabaletta to the aria "Ah, come mai non senti", sung by Rodrigo in the same act.

The lyrics consists entirely of the repeated word "miau" (It., Eng:"meow").

  • But you guys had some guts!

Yes! Compare with Montserrat Caballé & Concha Velasco, for ex. watch?v=qRG6h6H0_ho

    (from Wikipedia)

The Duetto buffo di due gatti ("humorous duet for two cats") is a popular performance piece for sopranos. The piece is typically attributed to Gioachino Rossini. It is instead a compilation written in 1825 that draws principally on his 1816 opera, Otello.

  • Hahahaha I absolutely love this! We did this in Highschool. But you guys had some guts!

  • kind of fruity

  • these guys are singing my song freaky!

  • lol fags

  • not bad countertenors! lol

  • i did this song for choir! you totally beat us!

  • lol they rocked i rememberd when they did that so funny

  • HA HA HA HA!!!! 5 star for you!

  • Enjoyable. The tempo was a little slow, but the acting made it worthwhile.

  • What tomcats !

  • kim needs to know how to steady the camera... lol

  • haha shut up it's not even a video camera and people kept bumping into me... XP

  • YA!!!! My Ketchi-buddies rock! That fundraiser was a total 'kick en zi pants!' We totally made everyone there really happy! Anyone who watches this should watch the chimney sweeps' 'step in time' as well!!!!

  • haha it definately was!

  • Not very well acted. Singing ok.

  • It's not supposed to be well acted. They're singers. It's just a little staging to make it a little more interesting.

  • ...this is a total acting piece. Singing this song as just a song is pointless

  • This is only about acting. Singing is secondary. In fact if it is sun

  • OMG, that was brilliant. I was lucky enough to see it both times at Musicfest, and I was hoping someone would post a video of them. This is the most hilarious choir thing I've ever seen. Thank you SO much for posting this so I could watch it over whenever I wanted a laugh.

    Sincerely,

    a Juneau Choir member
