  • gtx 590 required for dedicated physx :P lol

  • Damn that looked real o:

  • @FlamesTheGamer

    More like an EF3

  • david spooner lol

  • at 1:40 a house in the middle explodes :)

  • That still looks amazing!

  • make a movie out of this!!

    thumbs up if you agree!

  • wtf did the camera die?

  • @praskagi No, the person in the game did. This is an interactive game where you are a person and shit like this happens. So, the camera didn't die, the guy did.

  • @xXtornadoEPICfaceXx a game? isn't this the sandbox 2 editor?

  • @praskagi IDK but the game I think is called Crysis

  • @xXtornadoEPICfaceXx i know that its called crysis, I finished crysis 1, warhead, and crysis 2. Thanks btw :) Oh, and this looks fucking realistic :D

  • My mom went in and thought it was real :D

  • Trolololol....

1 TB and 4GHZ!? That's it? Come on, you can do better than that!

  • How do you make the Gauss Marines shoot, they just run around when I place them.

  • Comment removed

  • How did you make the entities destructible? When I put a tornado in, the building and trees just stay in one place. = , (

  • what i dont like about this is, that the pieces dont deform in anykind.

they stay the solid plates that they are

  • @R4Akai

Have you seen the aftermath of a real tornado?

The metal plates are not bent at all. (unless they were huge plates)

  • @UberNukeProductions i see a lot of documentaries yeah

ur right there are many flat plaets but still this looks a little unnatural - maybe its just to perfect for me to understand :)

  • Awesome. By the way, learn to run!

  • @OwnedEpicly Can you test it yourself? Jesus..

Of you course you can run it, nah shit.

  • MAXIMUM TORNADO

  • 0:50 - 1:05, awesome

  • this is amazing i want this game!!! :)

  • nice ....but i have a question how do you manage all that which you have a tornado or thousands of barrels on the map? I do not know how to do that

  • other than the buildings not being anchored, very nice.

  • WOAH! That is one scary tornado! Great work! It would also be alot cooler if you added more lightning flashes and SFX!

  • Wooo go 4870 X2!! Haha we just burnt ours out playing Crysis cos the PSU wasn't powerful enough =\ I have to say, you've done an excellent job on this video, it's very professionally done, well done =)

  • Look like F3

  • AWESOME DEVASTATION!

  • lol david spooner

  • #show

AWESOME If you see this rate it

  • now fill the buildings with Koreans =D

  • This is the kinda shit we need in our games!

REALISTIC destruction on and EPIC level!

  • @docsein1 it is, yes people: 2012 THA GAMEEEE !!!

  • How do you download this?

  • surrender doroti

  • God I want this, to bad my shit laptop can't handle games like this >_<

  • Hey I tried adding a tornado but it only lifted me up, it didn't tear a part the prefab buildings.

  • i really want crysis can you free download it?

  • WOW thats be Beautiful\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

  • Ummmm why are they floating off into the sky?

  • this looks awsome

  • were can you downlaod/getthis

  • @h1rif the city casue it loks awsome

  • @h1rif

I made it myself using the editor bundled with Crysis. Unfortunately I lost my creation and haven't remade it, sorry.

  • @spoonguy98 that sucks, ill give you 10 buck to make another one :D

  • LOVE 1:42 when the foundation hits the roof, and 2:20 is trippy, with everything flying around!

  • Comment removed

  • AWESOME, make an aftermath video!

  • egtodd, before making comments as such, lets talk about this, do you know what is a hurrican?

  • this is the weather report from 7:00 we got an F1 tornado destroying a nice village

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool but so sad

  • The tornado thing is awesome, but you should try to make the house foundations in separate pieces, so they crumble like the rest of the house.

  • @SEGAfan333 I was using prefabricated structures included with the editor so unfortunately I had no way to make them split apart - it would have been cool though!

  • they were supposed to be sucked in the tornado and twirl around it right??

  • @lyncon11 I was hoping they'd stay anchored to the ground but they didn't, unfortunately!

  • very awsome keep making vids

  • I'm getting this game.

  • where you get the tornado?

  • @Kill9533224 The tornado is an effect bundled with the editor (that comes with Crysis). You can place one in a map and give it certain parameters; strength, movement etc.

  • you have got to be kidding 80

  • you will need propably PhysX right? :(

  • LOL when the tornado pushes the entire house at 1:10.Look's like we're not there yet people!!!!

  • @raver0ller You're right! In the game's defence though the house is just a physical object that - in this case - was sat *on* the ground as opposed to being fixed to it. As far as the game would have been concerned I guess it would have treated the structure as a simple object that would move if enough force was applied to it. The fact that to us it's a house and the movement looks weird is irrelevant as far as the physics engine is concerned!

  • @spoonguy98 can you make a vid of a stronger and bigger tornado??

  • beautiful

  • awesome stuff!

  • looks really cool!^^

And of course real like those sand tornados! :D

  • I tried to do this and the tornado won't rip apart the buildings, just go over them. It gets me and vehicles though

  • are you running the game high or low settings? if you run the game on low the buildings dont break.

  • Oh, yeah, since my CPU isn't the best Most thing are high, water is very high but post processing and physics are on medium. But I have everything on very high in sandbox where I was testing it.

  • @linuxrobotdude h... so it should work..

  • the physics are wrong..it should be pulling debris in not out

  • Strange tornado, arent they supposed to drag all into them and not away from them?

  • @dtiydr yes, but always the stuff doesnt go to the right place.

  • @dtiydr and its about how strong the tornado is too.

  • spoonguy98,

Can you give me the files?

  • @ThaGamerzParadise Unfortunately I lost the original map and haven't remade it. I am contemplating doing so, if I make a new version I will post the video on Youtube and include a link to the map file - no guarantees though. Sorry it took so long to reply.

  • What kind of Rig do you have to run it so smoothly? Could I run this on my setup?

    3.6GHZ Intel Core 2 Quad

    Zalman 9700 CPU Heatsink

    EVGA 780i Tri SLI Motherboard

    Nvidia GTX 275 OC GPU.

2X500GB Hard Drive in Raid-0 plus 2 terabytes of additional storage

I am planning on getting another GTX 275 OC but they are out of stock everywhere. I want to run a massive physics simulation on the CE2 but i haven't attempted it yet.

  • Yes you could run it but if you have a multi gpu you MUST put in this command r_MultiGPU click ~ and then put it in.

  • @illmagnified I am running a Q6600 OCed to 3.6ghz, 8gb of nothing-special RAM, a 2gb 4870X2 and a stack of hard drives. This was not recorded in real time (hence there's no sound) but rather rendered frame by frame by the game engine and then animated afterwards. This permitted a smooth video without requiring a super computer!

  • @spoonguy98 Nothing special ram eh? I've had that before meh performance.

  • @illmagnified can i run crysis on emachines el1850 01e with no mods or upgrades

  • @illmagnified Wow, you have an awesome computer!

  • thats cool where can i get this killer engine

  • @ps2boy4255 The editor is included with Crysis.

  • @ps2boy4255 cryengen sandbox2 thay r makeing a cryengen 3 DX11 and more cool and advanced!

  • They are the foundations of the houses; they should have been anchored in to the ground before I did the test. Given that they should be anchored to the ground they don't have plausible physical properties as they're never supposed to be in the air.

  • @spoonguy98 Ahh, I was just wondering about that. As far as I am aware just making the object fixed means that the tornado cannot interact with it..

  • its an anti gravity tornado god..

  • If you new how difficult it is to create physics you would know it would have bugs

  • alright, go get the source code and fix it bro

  • @egtodd09 Actually...having chased tornados in my life..it's pretty damn realistic..

  • @egtodd09 It's not unbelievable... it's a game. It's game physics. Wow, you sure are dumb as fuck, if any game has good physics, it is this one, sure as shit!

  • @egtodd09 So picky

  • @egtodd09 Those pieces were designed to be anchored/embedded/whatever in to the ground but I didn't do so. I guess that - as they were never intended to be airborne - that portion of their attributes is (more than) a bit wonky!

  • @egtodd09 the best physics engine in the world and you call it terrible LOL

i bet when i say "you nooob you cant afford a pc powerfull enough to run this" ide be right ?

  • At 1:43 that guy's house got pwned!

  • @linuxrobotdude LOOOOOL

  • cool:D! but need sounds!

  • AMAZING!

  • Hello Dorothy :D

  • WOW

  • holy shit.

  • cool

  • Look at 2:15 AWESOME

  • awesome

  • cool but put nxt time sound in the video

  • That would be difficult because it wasn't recorded with sound. The frames were saved individually and then animated; no sound was recorded.

I suppose I could try and record sound separately and use that but it wouldn't match the picture properly...

  • Fraps would be nice.

  • He can't do that.

Fraps lags and destroys the quality....

and his system might not be able to handle it...he could be having 3fps in this video for all we know thats the point of his method, it makes it like 100fps when the pics are compressed and made into whatever video format...

  • what did you use to record this?

  • There is a method that you can use in Crysis that exports every rendered frame as a JPEG. Using that, I ran the scene and Crysis automatically saved every rendered frame, leaving me with a huge stack of files.

I was then able to animate all those frames with the end result being this video.

Doing it by this method makes recording sound impossible but it enables you to run "simulations" that are far too intensive for the PC to draw smoothly in real-time.

  • You should make it rainy :D more closer to tornado weatherr

  • Comment removed

  • you can download.

but not sure map editor is included there.

  • @green:

    noob

  • Awesome Video...

  • Looks Real xDD

  • If I was making the software I would base the behavior of the debris on footage of tornadoes. Some debris would be picked up by the tornado and continue to swirl around it.

  • These are physX by Nvidia. UT3 has a similar tornado in a map.

  • I'm not sure if Crysis is powered by PhysX, is it? If so that doesn't say much for hardware-accelerated PhysX as I run the game on a Radeon and it performs just fine...

  • that doesn't look like the tornado in crysis the tornado doesn't bend.....????

  • I don't know why someone gave you a thumb-down :S Anyway the tornadoes in Crysis have parameters that you can alter. If they are set to move slowly the tornado doesn't bend a great deal.

  • the ONLY thing i dont like about crysis torndos is that they dont disapate the will dust rome around untel you esc to the editor :( kinda unrealistic

  • Hi!

How can you make the tornade take off houses?

  • its only possible if you have high or very high settings (but i'm not sure)

  • you need them on at least medum for destrution

  • where i can get this softwear crysis phisics

  • fail

  • for sure

  • lol

  • you just need a good graphics card i have a nvida gforce 8500gt and i can run on high settings and also a good cpu witch is where i fail :D

  • lol nice lie

  • you cant run the game on high on a 8500, and how would you know because you yourself accept your cpu sucks and prevents that.

    douche

  • rage much?

calm down troll, it will be alright

  • @ProAudioSurf why are you replying to something i posted 5 months ago ? idk i forgot all about that hmm

  • saw the comment, i LOL'd i commented,

    you know the deal

  • @ProAudioSurf lol yea

  • lol look how amped up you get when somebody challenges your false story. holy shit that was funny

  • you know whats even more funny..repying to a commet posted 2 months ago :D wow your a winner in my book

  • where in the rule book does it say 2 months is out of bounds? last i checked, youre still accountable for your actions after 2 months, and unless you had some kind of intervention, your actions probably havent changed very much in 2 months.

somebody's got some soul searching to do. use of ascii smiley confirms this

  • 2:15 AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • I tornado a mod? I don't have this game so I'm curious...

  • No tornadoes are available to use in the Sandbox2 editor that is bundled with the game.

  • O_O that.......looks hella real. I though crysis tornados were not very realistic at all but this video proved me wrong.

  • waaaaay in the back is there a tornado?

  • tolles video aber leider kein ton

  • cool

  • watchin this on my ps3 and can't figure out the hd

  • This isn't too good, it pushes things away instead of sucking them in.

  • It's good. Tornado sucks items only if they weight is above 100kg

  • how do you make tornados!?!?!/

  • Crysis editor. In environment or somehting

  • @LOLZMAN118 go to "view, open view panel, environment,, tornado"

  • Best crysis tornado ever

    This was cold

  • OMFG @ 2:13

  • how the hell does that look so good dame nice grafix

  • It's just the default appearance at the highest settings, although I changed the lighting using the TOD settings.

  • ohh damn

  • I love how you got the tornado to be at different angles. Whenever I did experiments with it, mine would always be straight up :(

  • I forget the actual settings but if you adjust the tornado's "parameters" it will move around; as it moves it automatically "bends a bit", if that makes sense.

  • omg if u saved this u should continue and show the remains of the town

  • That must be a f-5 because of the damage it caused...

  • so does the tornado control itself or do you control it?

  • I set it up to move slowly etc but it moved itself around. It was complete chance that it came back and killed me

  • haha i see. Did you program the graphics and physics of the tornado yourself or was it a download? Cause this is really cool, not going to lie.....

  • Is this made frame by frame?
