  • I used to catch these on the 102/191 and 34 when i used to visit my nan in chingford as a schoolboy. the 102/191 used to pass here house so i used to run to the front window when ever one came past as you could here them coming a mile off with the airaid siren sound they made as they accelarated. happy times:-) to few of these in preservation.

  • @peterthegrate1 Same kind of story for me, I was 5 when the B20s started at Bexleyheath, Routes 132, 96 etc. This bus was at BX. I also remember B20s appearing at Catford, 124/A, I was very happy with that! Until the Titans replaced them in 1983. I now own DMS 550, a big job, I may put a video on here about that!!

  • Thanks for sharing. Brings back huge memories of when I used to catch the B20 DMS's in South London! I remember the whine of the fans like yesterday. Keep that engine going!

A pity that there are so few of these, and DM/S's that have survived to preservation.

  • YES, IT STILL HAS ITS ORIGINAL 690 LEYLAND ENGINE. NOT MANY LEFT NOW!

  • Has this still got its 690 engine??

  • used to like the B20s when they used to be around the croydon area until 1992
