  • My school board just put in one windmill at every high school :D

  • Sign up for Bullfrog Power! I love it. I pay a little more for my electricity (about a $1/day) and all that money goes to green energy providers. It's a simple, market-driven way to promote green energy. Cuz I agree with this video, one Windmill is pretty goofy.

  • @rickyspectacular Nuclear is the way to go. Bastard.

  • Ummmmm, what about the hydro dams in niagara falls?

  • @TheLCusi no One Windmill...you got to jump on board

  • @TheLCusi as Rick Mercer himself once said "Irony is lost on the man."

  • @TheLCusi its a joke

  • But does Hydro want you to become a power generator too? they wouldnt have a monopoly

  • look out little guy!

    turns away lol

  • LOL THE CHINESE PERSON,

  • omfg how is he so funny.

  • why ontario needs nuclear...

  • OPG would be the owner of that windmill, not Hydro One. OPG is repsonsible for the generation of the power where Hydro One is responsible for the transmission.

  • they could build an offshore windmill farm; lake ontario is pretty big. They could even build windmill farms just outside of Toronto. I'm sure they paid off that ONE windmill within two years. If we had the infrastructure to generate at least 50% of our power usage through solar, thermal, and wind power generators, we could reduce pollution, waste, and unnecessary spending.

  • did they actualy build only one windmill ???

  • @kstew565 its to show they care without actually doing anything. Just like big oil renewable energy

  • Yes. It was near Pickering, Ontario, visible from the TransCanada Highway 401. However, there is another one near downtown Toronto, and there are complete farms popping up all over, many on private land, privately funded.

Wolfe Island, South of Kingston Ontario has many dozens of them in one installation.

Due to incentives, wind is arguably viable for now. Of course, the true cost of fossil fuel power is much, much less. We already pay dept retirement for a Nuclear Plant cost over-run.

  • @kstew565 no theres more then one windmill.... if im right and hydro onne covers all of ontario which im preety sure it does. just go south of tilsonburg near port burwell and go on the beach. tjeres like at least 56 there

  • @sailesh2001 actually the windmills only cover about 13% of hydro a day.

  • @kstew565 no lol

  • i wake up and see that one windmill everyday

  • Nice random bit of Cantonese XD

  • LOL...gotta love rick mercer

  • lmao one windmill XD ahahahahahahah .

  • hahaha oh man. ohhhh ontario.

  • I always drive by the windmill and it looks so out of place, did'nt they build more???

  • LOL

  • lmao. Ontario sure has changed since they made this.

  • haha. go hydro!

  • Rick Mercer should be the Prime Minister.

    Just sayin'...

  • Lol, so true!!!

  • The Chinese woman said wrongly! She said One Kite!

  • In Mandarin or Cantonese? Mostly Cantonese in Vancouver, but I'm not sure about Toronto.

  • gordonf4yt: It's the same here.

    lolololol im so late

replying to a year old comment

  • @gordonf4yt it's Cantonese with heavy accent maybe. "Windmill" sounds like "phone-tze" in Cantonese but she pronounced it like "fun-jar"

  • @babythinhk Don't you men Incorrectly instead of Wrongly (ha ha you said it wrongly...)

  • Lols, so true.

  • ONE WINDMILL!!!!!!!!!

  • lmao
