Sign up for Bullfrog Power! I love it. I pay a little more for my electricity (about a $1/day) and all that money goes to green energy providers. It's a simple, market-driven way to promote green energy. Cuz I agree with this video, one Windmill is pretty goofy.
OPG would be the owner of that windmill, not Hydro One. OPG is repsonsible for the generation of the power where Hydro One is responsible for the transmission.
they could build an offshore windmill farm; lake ontario is pretty big. They could even build windmill farms just outside of Toronto. I'm sure they paid off that ONE windmill within two years. If we had the infrastructure to generate at least 50% of our power usage through solar, thermal, and wind power generators, we could reduce pollution, waste, and unnecessary spending.
Yes. It was near Pickering, Ontario, visible from the TransCanada Highway 401. However, there is another one near downtown Toronto, and there are complete farms popping up all over, many on private land, privately funded.
Wolfe Island, South of Kingston Ontario has many dozens of them in one installation.
Due to incentives, wind is arguably viable for now. Of course, the true cost of fossil fuel power is much, much less. We already pay dept retirement for a Nuclear Plant cost over-run.
@kstew565 no theres more then one windmill.... if im right and hydro onne covers all of ontario which im preety sure it does. just go south of tilsonburg near port burwell and go on the beach. tjeres like at least 56 there

@gordonf4yt it's Cantonese with heavy accent maybe. "Windmill" sounds like "phone-tze" in Cantonese but she pronounced it like "fun-jar"
