The theory in our family is that dad hid money in the Caymans. He went to Dublin too, that's another hot spot. He hasn't worked in ten years plus, and no one knows how he gets by. And he grills me about being an idler.
if a wealthy american pays a single $1,000,000 a single year, that is more than most americans will pay in taxes their entire lives. i say they pay well more than "their fair share" they pay thousands of "fair shares" for the use of the same citizenship. the usa makes a huge profit off of a single wealthy citizen in comparison to a middle class citizen which in the end will extract more than he/she pays in. so quit complaining everyone. the wealthy american is the one being cheated.
It has nothing to do with large Government protected Corporations!
All this anti-offshore pressure is a smoke screen for welfare state tax collectors aiming for complete destruction of financial and personal privacy for everyone, just as the so-called PATRIOT Act has done in the U.S.
And to keep U.S. and other nations' taxpayers imprisoned in domestic high tax systems from which there is no escape
The problem started with the Illegal FED Reserve & Wall Street elites; not the working man!
so we should tax the rich and give the money to the poor, lazy, and stupid then?

Why isn't the USA a tax haven? Why do so many companies and jobs go over seas?

This represents a pathetically poor understanding of the facts.

AIG: "Our use of subsidiaries in tax havens is not solely for evasion of tax payments" (..LOL. Can NOT believe that remark! )
NO THEY ARE USED FOR SMOOTHING INCOME, RUNNING PONZI REDISTRIBUTION OF CASH FLOWS, AND ACCEPTING BRIBES. LOL. THIS IS BEAUTIFUL

could there be CRIMINAL or DIRTY money also stored in these offshore havens? is this why banks are asking bailouts? can't upset these people?
