NASA said they know this steroid's track for the next 100 years, but did they know it was coming this close years back? Prob not. If it was going to hit, bet they'd say nothing, although they might have to put out an evacuation order.
The asteroid was reported approximately eight months ago. I first heard about it and placed the event on my calendar in late February. It had been planned to reach us at or about 12:00 PM. This was updated in the past several days to 6:28 EST.
