Uh...not sure if you know but this is definitely NOT a spider. It's a asp caterpillar and it doesn't spit toxic acid...it's hair acts as barbs that attach to the skin and cause a burning sensation or reaction.

Ive been stung by one before. It was on my pant leg, and I went to sit on the back of a car. I put my hand down and sat, it stung me right near my thumb. Correct. But I was amazed to see a red wasp take one over and sting it on the underside, which did kill it immediately. Probably almost never happens. Red wasps are more dangerous because the chance of getting hit is much greater. The pain is ordinarily less than the PC.
