my old neighbor from childhood who was btw born in the year 1900 used to give his dog raw garlic for fleas. That's what I've been doing and it works. I also blended up some, diluted with water and put in a spray bottle for when my dog goes out for walks. The frontline wasn't working so I had to try something else. The commercial flea products are toxic.
The lemon spray can dry out an animal's fur, leaving it looking dull, and their skin, which can make their skin itchy. If this happens, try adding a little olive oil or raw egg yolk to their food. That can relieve the dry skin and make the coat soft and shiny again. With the cedar, I don't know if this happens with dogs or cats, but I know small animals like mice and hamsters can have bad reactions to cedar oil. You may want to test on a small spot first to see if there is a reaction.
