Great men are judged against other great men. Dixon had only faced average boxers to get his title. He was a champion in an era with very few top boxers. Balboa on the other hand was champion in an era with loads of tough challengers.

Although Dixon met Balboa just to prove he could fight a legend (a legend long past his prime), he still only beat him by decision. In the minds of the people Balboa was the real winner even if he lost.

if dixon would have lost if the fight would have just go on 1 round more it's clear he would've been knocked out by the young man with the eye of the tiger from part 1,2,3,4 and even 5.

Creed would have had a lot of fun with dixon playing with him before beating him out, lang would have just pulverized his body to ashes and drago would've simply killed him, tommy's the only one where dixon could have had a chance.

Most people think that Rocky just went up the steps if you've been to philly and know the city you'll know that the run Rocky goes on everytime to train is fucking exhausting he goes from kensington to the italian market which is like 6 miles

then to independance hall which is 1+miles to logan circle which is 2 miles and al the way back to the art museum which is about 4

all in all about 15 miles and if any 60 yr old does that they are in GREAT SHAPE

Because Rocky Marciano jogged everyday 7 miles, 2-3 months before a fight 10 and the week before the fight 15.

There was only one reason wyh Rocky didn't win by KO.

The asssucking 12 round system.

In 13 he would KTFO of Dixon.

imagine the Thrilla in Manilla in between Ali and Frazier not going into 14th round, ali would have lost by points.

or the classic fight between Rocky Marciano and Jersey Joe Walcott, where Rocky was loosing by points for the first 12 rounds getting the shit beaten out of him, and then he KTFO of Dempsey and becomes Worl Heavyweight Chmapion.

Back then Fighters had Stamina.

It was a sort of draw, with Frazier edging it slightly, but going into the 11th and on Ali mopped the floor with him.
