Imagine movies being downloaded to theaters that are automated and everything for the theater owner being controlled with a universal IPAD or remote app, no bulbs, or expensive machinery to break, lower insurance premiums. That would save alot of weight in an aircraft about 80% over current display equipment and cooling fans in avionics on board cockpits lcd screens would be cooler thus making the cockpit run more efficient. Some how in Airbus video of future aircraft they will use the technology that Boeing missed. Also IMAX would be cool to see on a screen made of this. The screen would have to be rounded, no projector needed, just flash drive save more money on IMAX theaters and movies could be downloaded cont.

In the future these will probably start to replace other types of monitors, but for now, replacing a PSP's LCD with an OLED screen would be kind of unpractical (As you're paying probably over double the price for more vivid colors and a screen that cannot easily be cracked). Currently it would be more practical to just use LED backlighting instead of the CRT technology. However, this will most likely change.

The reason we can't have cool flexible stuff is probably mainly because power supplies and batteries advance like snails. Prototypes do exist for flexible batteries, but they're prototypes.

So how many people working on those projects are doing the actual designs? Can't be more than a few because human brains and social structure limit understanding.. i,e.
