If you are trying to do it at speed before you learn it, that will cause a problem. GO SLOW... make it like 2 : 4 time. Really, just go slow and then build up speed. The Riff part after the power chords does take practice but once you've got the muscle memory down, you'll have it.
I tried this when being taught it last year but couldn't quite get the hang of it, also I find it hard to do without usuing 'flyaway fingers' something my tutor always told me off for, still can't do it but a good video all the same.
