Hello, i am think about getting this phone. i was wondering if there are any applications you are required to buy. and what do you think about buying this phone on ebay, i've heard of people getting ripped off. would you recommend buying it from somewhere else?
Only if you sign up for certain services (GPS, Phone as Modem etc.) then you may have to buy the application that runs with that service. Personally, I would be VERY careful when you buy off of Ebay. I recommend buying it from a real store or off a major website (Amazon, or Best Buy). Anymore questions please reply!

Yes there is. The home screen is where are your applications. However you cannot set your own backround. Only on the phone application where you can put shortcuts and hotkeys, that is where you can put a backround. What do you mean by charms?
Yes it does but when you do the three-way call, you cannot hang up on that person you just dialed so therefore, you must have them hang up and you don't know if they are listening or not. Anymore questions please reply!
Can you get this phone on sprint without a data plan?
I've talked to like 5 representatives and they've all told me diferent.
Two of them say I flat out can't, two said I can, and one told me I can but only if I am eligible for an upgrade. I am in fact eligible, but do you know if I can get this without the data plan?
My suggestion to you is not to buy it at a Sprint Store because with us they gave us a lot of problems and they said we were not eligable with our plan and we have had our original phones for almost 3 years, we are darn well eligable! And plus we would have to pay an extra $65 a month just for one line to get it through a Sprint store! Buy it online, thats what we did and there was no problem! But please don't buy it at the Sprint store, because I'm pretty sure they will give you problems.
i have question... what does connecting it 2 ur computer do 2 the phone? is it necessary?
also... is the screen on 7:46 supposed to be the first thing that appears wen u turn on ur phone? by that i mean like if there's another screen where u put the wallpaper.. like can u take that screen out?

No, its not in Sprint Stores either. Both the Pink and Ruby Red Centros have been discontinued. The Sprint Stores no longer carry the Onyx Black one either, only the online does.
Yes you can use your fingers if you don't want to use a stylus. But keep in mind that the buttons are made specially to be used with a stylus, not fingers so they may be pretty small. But I find that you can operate a lot of these small buttons with your fingernail. The virtual keyboard that comes with the Centro is meant for use with a stylus, not fingers. I prefer to use the physical keyboard, not virtual one. My fingers are pretty big for the virtual keyboard. Anymore questions please reply!!

Yes it does in good lighting conditions. In low light, the pictures are not as good. Please see our Palm Centro Camera review for more info!
