ive just reaced this level and its rock hard no save points at the begining and the undead just comeing at you all the bloody time even with 200 hit points i die enough said

this game is kinda like a mystery journey.....at each level there are secret places and rewards to be earned. if it looks like it can be pulled, try to pull it. if it has a door knob, try and open it....ect.....very challenging
I wish games were still this hard. I'd trade the graphics of a Mass Effect for the challenge of a Deathtrap Dungeon any day. This game was so much fun and took me an obscene number of hours to finish. Good luck Gravitier; I hope you get back to it someday!

in this level there are three lever that have to be pull,,,,,,once you pull them, the center of the floor rises to the ceiling, there you will have to serve an even more compicated maze of battles.
for those of you who have recently purchased this old game, see it as a challange. each level is a step towards a spectacular battle towards the end. "hint' the key to this game is location the secret areas located along the walls. remember, everything is not always what it seems to be when playing this game. don't give up, play it until the end.

You need a red sword, a strength potion, charm of icy cool and the charm that protects you from magic. Go to the middle platform, activate these items when he lands on the platform and hack away until he dies.
@LongHairedLoser Thank you VERY much, I recently just picked this game up again to give it another try. I love that feel of these oldschool games. I wish they could redo this somehow. Just running around with all the different views can be annoying at times, and you can't rotate the view like on most PS2 games, but it does help with solving it's puzzles.
@Acidic303 Flamelance, Razor Spell and Blunderbuss when he's flying to make him land faster, when you see him circling the centre then teleport down and as soon as he lands teleport from the centre and hit a gold switch, repeat this 4 times then take him head on using the Red Sword, Strength, Warding, Icy Cool, Anti-Magic and Speed, try and get behind him as he's landing and just keep swinging away whilst watching your health as it depletes quickly, trying to block him seems useless.
What I mean is.. You are supposed to change weapons and use them properly. If you do that then you will pick up new weapons as needed. With extra skill you will never run out.
Right.. You have to use the magic weapons the right way. Dont worry.. The game is calculated so that you will pick up a new magic weapon like silver sword abt the time the average player runs out of the last one.
the book this is based on is brilliant! I remember looking forward to this game but the demo just really disappointed and put me off playing the full version. shame there werent other games based on the books though, House of Hell, Creature of Havoc et al would have been good. great playthrough though, the framerate looks...errr.. pretty bad at times tho.
@Sephiroth7734 ever heard of a series called Fighting Fantasy (by Ian Livingstone, Stever Jackson)? Deathtrap Dungeon to many is the best of them all, though you could argue the two I already mentioned as even better.. not books as such, a gamebook, you choose where to go, what to do etc and you will die. alot. in usually a gruesome manner. There were 59 books released in the 80s and 90s, but are being re-released right now along with the odd new one. Check on amazon or local bookshop
