That was a great video....thanks hockeybooks. Schultz is well-spoken. Hard to believe considering him grabbing hair, head-butting, etc. Jekyl and Hyde.
Dave was really a great guy off the ice. He never played Junior hockey. Started right out in the old Eastern Hockey League and darn near got 400 penalty minutes in his first season with the Salem Rebels...and still was the second leading scorer! I still think his roll as a "goon" has really affected him emotionally.
nicky was a good fighter and i think he wouldve handed schultzs head to him, even shultz wrote in his book,,he never wanted any of fotiu,,but i think later would contradict himself in later interviews,,but i agree,,shultz was a better hockey player,,nicky didnt score much.
@uiwqe Fotiu a decent 4th liner. He helped the Flames. Semenko was the HW king at the time and he got into it with Nick... and couldn't hit him. Fotiu not gooing all out to make a go of it though... just frustrate the Oilers. Toughest flame was Charlie Bourgeouis
Well holy f**k there's one i don't have or better yet ever seen. Schultz was awesome and one of my personal favorite enforcers of all time. Thanks for uploading this interview
Nick Fotiu WON the New York Golden Gloves as a light HW't which meant he'd have been 178 or under. played at about 200... Age 18 to age 22 you put on the muscle. NYC GG is a tourney you have to be good to win
Schultz was an amazing cunt

Nick a bit overrated re: hockey fights. He was a good amateur boxer though. It's different on skates.
Shultz is a class act, and a good player as well as a tough guy
