  • The sample used is The Unifics-Toshisumasu.../watch?v=cgsJ5zoROGU

  • It's easy to make a sampled beat, but it's hard to make a good one. There are a lot of people that make sampled beats, but most of them suck.

  • The vocals made this joint

  • i like dis guy aswell as hsi music

  • This actually sucks.... still respect him

  • @natedawg6995 lol i agree

  • MPC 2500 to do this shit? i can do that just with my 49 keboard

  • @erlince30 but your not 9th wonder

  • @erlince30 The sonics and dynamics in the mpc 2500 are way different than your keyboard..

  • @erlince30 thats because your a software dickhead

  • speechless...

  • only reason it look easy cuz dey cut out the choppin and however much longer it took to find that groove samplin aint easy as dey made it seem at all but 9th is the truth

  • 9th is unreal

  • Man this just inspired me to become a producer

  • damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • haha love this shit, you can tell he loves what he does, he's just laughing when it all comes together :D

  • what kind of beat machine is that?

  • @rizoninja MPC (music Production Center).. dont know wat model.. maybe 4000 or something.. they have a 1000 it's smaller

  • @rizoninja

    its an mpc 2500

  • @rizoninja MPC2500 beat production station.

  • i actually went back to FL Studio after using the MV-8800 for 3 years.

its just the best tool for sampling and the piano roll is king.

  • THIS IS DOPE..REMO YOUR A MONSTAER

  • Lupe need to hop on that beat

  • HOT!!!!!!!!! Rap part is SICK!!!!!!!!!!

  • Classic! Real Hip-Hop!

  • can anybody name that sample?

  • @LESBIANDINOSAURSWAG Toshisumasu by The Unifics

  • @MinDsc2 thank you so much

  • @LESBIANDINOSAURSWAG The Unifics - Toshisumasu

  • 9th Wonder!

  • he makes it look too damn easy love this guy

  • @xeodus9 Because it is easy! Producers that only sampling don't need much skill. Producers that create their own melodys get a lot more respect from me.. sorry this beat is nothing special.. You can do stuff like this with 2 weeks practice. Peace.

  • @TutorialSalat well lets see you do it then

  • @tutorialsalat @FreestyleLilWayne i made my first sample based beat for the first time today and it took me 10 min, its not that hard...its the acquired style you get over time that makes it really kool......like with 9th.

  • @HiphopSpitSpecial just like making a simple melody isnt hard like playing a four chord progression for example and playing bass notes as the bass line thats not hard either almost anyone with minute piano experience can do it... so it goes both ways but it is hard to create a masterpiece from both perspectives weathers ones harder is completely opinionated and childs speak...

  • @TutorialSalat, you obviously don't know anything about making music. Just because your using a sample doesn't mean that it isn't their own melodies. sampling isn't something that that you can just learn in two weeks.

  • what midi pad is he using?!

  • @robbiewalch an MPC

  • this is some legit music being made right here... find me some truer hip hop please, i dare you

  • good shit

  • i was noddin my head til my chair went all wobbly

  • That beat could loop in my head forever..:)!!

  • man have I been doing it backwards? Ive been makin the drum pattern first and then trying to match the sample :-/ I guess its the other way around?

  • @GiddiGabirou depends on your sample honestly. in this case, the sample has sort of a swing to it and percussion so youd want to get a rhythm with the samples first then program the drums. but if you have a sample thats just like some bells or something, you can chop it and do the drums first. 9th also uses really small chops it seems on this track.

  • @GiddiGabirou There is no 'proper' and 'unproper' way, just do what works best for you.

  • @bartjuhh12 alright thank u man! nice beats by the way ;)

  • @GiddiGabirou Ah thanks man!

  • Man, this this dude is dope! I love that sample. Anybody know the name of it???

  • @63legendary hey dude its The Unifics - Toshisumasu woooord!

  • @infamito Thank, mane!

  • Now that was a hot

  • does the mpc chop the samples for u? or did he already chop it?

  • @AJlurksnyc It can be done either way depending on the producer. The MPC can be used to chop...

  • 9th Wonder needs to teach me about the meaning of { LIFE }*CRYS*

  • BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can anybody tell me what he's playing on @1:30

  • DAMN!!!!!! 9Th Wonder is so sick dude he makes tight ass beats and he is very humble... what more can i say

  • Whats the name of the thing he used to sample the vinyl?

  • Comment removed

  • Sample is from "Toshisumasu" by the unifics ;-)

  • I knew that was rapsody!

  • whats the drumcomputer/drummaschine he's using?

  • @QazCwalk its an akai mpc..model 2500 i think..

  • Can someone tell me what 9th did at 1:16?? I dont understand how you transfer the sounds to the midi!!!!!

  • @BenGelfandMusic he recorded the sample then he sliced it up

  • @pistol449 How do you slice it up?

  • @BenGelfandMusic just input the audio u wanna sample into ya device/software and u should have a slice mode that slices the sample then feel free 2 edit the individual slices 2 your liking...

  • 9th is a fucking monster!!!

  • whats the sample name 0:36

  • I believe this sample is also in sean kingston's 'beautiful girls'

  • Can't wait to see you perform at a3c festival this year man

  • It seems like every new producer follows The RZA's train of thought....

  • this man is a genuess wow

  • That is Hot!

  • 336 represent- like that

  • 9th wonder inspires me me everyday

  • Is it bad that I would rather hear the beats instead of the rhyme?

  • @ccbanks7004 not evennn

  • I def like 9th wonder but I am gonna keep it real, this beat is wack as fuck y'all niggas jumpin on his nuts bcuz it say beat mad by 9th wonder..... like I said I am a 9th fan but this beat is not all that, I am just keeping it real....

  • @danfamuss1

true, he coulda get much more out of the sample

  • @bigShooze sometimes a little is enough. and in this case it was def enough.

  • @danfamuss1 did you hear the finished beat cuz that shit is hot.......another nice beat buy him is hearing the melody off his new album but idk man to each is own

  • For real... 9th aint bangin FL no mo...?

  • @RealNigerianz but at least he use to be :D

that's enough for some of to keep on dreaming and may reveal it

  • @RealNigerianz people can speculate, unless the're in the studio with him, im sure he still uses it in some aspect.

  • @RealNigerianz Not really. He has moved on to better equipment. He mostly uses an MPC and Pro Tools...

  • anyone know what the sample is?

  • What record is that ?

  • this is a very inspiring video. it's great seeing how artists respond and react to their artwork, and how they get so into the process of creation

  • needs more cowbell

  • @ProductionMarx

    do you mean "needs cowbell"?

  • that nigga sounds like beans...

  • turntable 9th is using is the original Technics SL1200 or 1210...

  • Premo is the older god. 9th is the younger god. They both is RAW as fuck!!! Damn..... Smh

  • Haha 9th wonder know he the shit but why Did he take TP verse off the track?

  • @MRDONNY2 Probably money issues. Either that or his ear told him to.

  • I FUCK WITH the 9 ....watch his face when he found the part of the sample he was about to rip up,,,on theee island ...classic beat making ALF BOMBS

  • lol that grin is the "i found a groove in a sample out of nowhere and the shit is dope" it's so genuine. and it's the best feeling a producer can possibly feel. i've felt it a couple time but 9th's had thousands of those

  • Does anyone know what the sample is?

  • Comment removed

  • Baaaaaanger!!

  • Beat is nice. Given the circumstances in Japan right now 9th should flip that for a Japan benefit track.

  • damn that was Nice

  • damn he makes it look easy and fun

  • What kind of Mixer is that at 2:44???

  • @MegaLanek digidesign console 002 (probably). a digital mixer with a firewire interface using as a controller for digital audio workstations aswell. I think it has motor-faders, too. those all-in-one-solutions were popular a couple years ago but you can also get the same quality with another interface or soundcard with external mixer and a DAW-controller for cheaper. digidesign hardware is made for using protools as the sequenzer. but nowadays protools works with particular m-audio, too.

  • Only a few can make a beat on the spot.... this guy aint one of them, this shits fucking annoying pfff

  • @MusiksMaThing you're stupid... and deaf

  • @TheDIEGOayala09 why I have to be stupid and deaf? thats horrible man...

  • @MusiksMaThing one you're deaf because this shit is a banger... and two you're stupid because you don't know the method behind his madness, so much goes into this beat, and i bet all you hear is a loop...

  • @TheDIEGOayala09 Hey I just listened to it again, I take it back... you can sit nicely and play with your vagina now x
