  • che gran figata di canzone!

  • great steel guitar i think by ron wood

  • far away eyes means someone is blasted out of there mind

  • This Is one Of The Songs That Remind Me Of My Father...David Lwerence Martin McKay...R.I.P Pops...Love You Lots.

  • @WolfSpirit2011 i thumbs up this

  • @WolfSpirit2011 Hey man,I'm In those same shoes... He used to say,''the girls with wide open thighs'' .Peace.. Jake,so missed!!

  • @jeb4hand You're damn right about "You Never Even Call Me by my Name." I performed that once, when I still owned an accordion. i never learned to play guitar. Never heard of Gram Parsons. have to check out his song you mentioned. thanks for the tip.

  • To quote Rome, "Holy Freaking Crap!" Amazing, and I normally don't like the Stones. Had to ask my wife if this really was them, she said it was. She ought to know, she's way more of a Stones fan than I'll ever be. a Stones fan with faraway eyes.

  • ....well you know what kind Eyes she got.....

  • Really is stupid guestion but doesn't metter what are 'far away eyes exacly?' hahah

  • @3252TheAna someone answer him. im wondering the same thing

  • this may be a stupid question, but what exactly are 'far away eyes?' or doesn't it have an actual meaning? still love this song tough.

  • Mick Jagger is a trash, the true is Bob Marley & the Wailers

  • @WeedGanjah that doesn't make any sense

  • ROLLING STONES FAR AWAY EYES,IS BEAUTIFUL GI JOE 989.

  • I love Bakersfield...such a beautiful place...

  • my mom, my best friend, and i always sing this whenever wer in the car 2gether

  • I live in bakersfield...(:

  • Stones had a few "country " sounding songs, such as this one, "Wild Horses", "No expectations", and my favorite.."Dead Flowers"

  • Greatest country song ever written. Q.E.D.

  • hey I'm from Bakersfield and I know if you run 20 red lights in this town, youll be spending 20 years in the pokie!

  • Is this not meant to be taking the piss out of Country?

The really exaggerated accent, the lyrics, such as "you know you always have the lord by your side. And I was so pleased to be informed of this I ran 20 red lights in his honour."

It's clearly mocking the overly religious 'hillbilly' type Americans.

  • @Throthgar : )

  • @Throthgar Not really, the stones loved country they have other country songs (Dead Flowers, Sweet Virginia, No Expectations) and Mick Jagger was good friends with Gram Parsons. Country artists make songs that rag on the music that they play, or at least they used to. Check out David Allan Coe's You Never Even Called Me By My Name or Gram Parson's Drugstore Truck Drivin Man.

  • My favorite Stones tune. This one and the one about California. Now what was that song? hhmmm.

  • Seems like most of these comments are somewhat right. What most people are failing to see is that country music today is just 40 years later matching the style and tone of groups of another era.

  • The Stones are most definitely a rock band, but this and many of there songs are definitely country. I think some of you immature people out there just need to admit that there's some good country music out there and stop talking about how you like everything but country

  • wow

  • hey retards this isnt country its called THE BLUES

  • @MrDoomsday666 I know. The pedal-steel totally gives it away.

  • Rolling Stones greatest song..

  • I believe I heard once many years ago that this song was a tribute to their late friend Gram Parsons.

  • im from bakersfield

  • this is not a country band, it is pure rock and roll

  • My favorite country song by my favorite country band.

  • @FvckIran How can u call the rolling stones a pure country band?

  • @pavener I know they're not a country band. You fail at Humor 101.

  • @FvckIran I fail. You're the one who fails. First of all, why would anyone joke about something like that? Second of all if you were joking you would just troll me by now, saying something like; OMG YOU IDIOT! OFC IT IS A COUNTRY BAND! FUCKING NEWB! So just stfu, and how can u be sure that im not fucking trolling the ass of you right now, idiot?

  • @pavener Once again you fail.

  • @FvckIran Really? You have nothing more to say. Can't even defend what you're saying, kinda tells alot about you, but hey good luck in your life with that atitude, im sure you're gonna get far!

  • @pavener What is there to defend? This is your third fail.

  • @FvckIran Ok. You fail at life

  • @pavener OK you win...this isn't my favorite country band and song anymore. You have ruined a once beautiful thing. My favorite country band is now....Led Zeppelin and my favorite country song by them is Hot Dog. You happy now? And you're very wrong about me failing. I'm doing pretty good for myself. The only thing I fail at is that I accidently gave you a thumbs up for one of your comments and for that I will be forever ashamed.

  • @FvckIran Ha, ha.. Ok. Ill shut up now, im at peace.

  • @FvckIran How the hell can u call the rolling stones a country band? It's mainly blues rock, and rock n roll

  • IT'S NOT COUNTRY, DORK.

  • @misterbiggg69 I just like everyone else on the planet know that the Stones aren't country. Can't someone say something slighty funny without a bunch of retards blowing up.

  • Thank you Jesus, thank u lord for this song.

  • The Beatles were good.... Led Zepplin was great....but this my friend is the greatest rock n roll band of them ALL! Great song .

  • @sb2244 YES!! i totally agree. i've seen them twice, and can't wait to see them again hopefully soon!

  • @sb2244

  • and the preacher said "you know, you'll always have the lord by your side" and I was so pleased to be informed of this, I ran twenty red-lights in his honor. Thank you Jesus...................... THATS AWESOME hahaha

  • just send 10 dollars to the church of the sacred bleeding heart of Jesus...located in los angelis.....hahahahahahaha
