  • Woah man thats some cronic rap! the tonic drops it like it's hot!

  • Esse som é muito féra, da hora mesmo.

  • I actually remember this single back in 1999.

I have always been into "traditional/underground" hip hop: hard beats with dope (cerebral & poetical) rhymes.

I am VERY picky with my hip hop (have to be these days in the midst of so much wackness and unoriginal artists more concerned with image than skill), but If I can find christian hip hop with godly messages/principles in a fresh, lyrical form, then I will support it.

  • @suaved i search the same thing as you and for now the only thing i found was shai linne don't know if it help you. May God be with you.

  • I'd recommend Lecrae, Tedashii, Trip Lee is good, Sho baraka..all of tese known as 116 Clique, Than you should check out Flame, Da Truth, R-Swift, Shai Linne... anybody on Cross Movement Records, Then look up Frontlynaz, Stephen the Levite, Young Joshua, J Johnson, Japhia Life ain't bad, Richie Righteous got good stuff, MuzeOne, Redeemed Thought, and, though he's not really rap, you should check out Mali Music. You can find all these ppl on I-Tunes (excpet Mali, his album dnt drop til 07/14)

  • I heard Tedashii was fire!! Never heard it, but R-Swift, Da Truth, and J Johnson are all pretty tough.

  • Lecrae is also a great Christian artist.

  • there is also grits, t-bone and john reuben. there pretty raw!

  • another group i would refer to you to check out is grapetree records. i don't know if they are still around but they circulated a lot in the early 2000's and late 90's. they have artists such as Antonious, L.G. Wise, Prime Minister, D.C.P., F.T.F., Gopsel Gangstaz, Nuwine & Lil' Raskull. It's a fantastic label created by a gentleman named Knolly "Rubadub" Williams.

  • yeah,I would like to have the grapetree records stuff as well pls))))))))))

  • What's good, my man? I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you. I tried finding Grapetree's website and all it came up with was some Christian hip hop online radio station. I'll try to find some links and let u know. Peace and God bless!

  • Hi all, im new to christian rap and hip hop...can anyone suggest more artists that i can listen to?

  • Ambassador, From Cross mov't has his own albums, The Thesis is really good, haven't heard the others. If you like Beastie Boys type Rap try Mars Ill, they are crazy talented. All are Christian.

  • preachers in tha hood.

Caleb j (if you can find him.)

and dc talk has some good hip hop stuff, and rock.

    peace to cross movement

  • NICE!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I like this song...they like the Wu-Tang of Christian music...haha

You can't hate on music that preaches Tha Good Word.

  • Speaking of Wu Tang, a guy from Wu Tang came to Christ a while back. I don't know the group, but Mars Ill has a track on Pro Pain with him on track 4.

  • Yeah I'm just starting to get into christian rap/hip-hop. I know Lecrae and Trip Lee are good. Are there any other artists that you can suggest?

  • Cross Movement, of course, then Phanatik, Da Truth, & Ambassador all have their solo albums also. Mars Ill is great. White rappers I'm famaliar with KJ52, Playdough & John Rueben.

  • cross movement:flame,everyday process,

  • japhia life, sevin, manafest

  • Shai Linne, Stephen the Levite....

  • ya i saw that too and was like... wooooordd??

its cool, i think his name is Cappadona.

  • Cross Movement is the Real Deal! I have 5 of their CDs; Human Emergency, Higher Definition, House of Representatives, Holy Culture, and History: Our place in his story Even their concert DVD they up in Philadelphia. Those of you who never had Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, really listen to their music. It can really make a difference in your life.

  • May God bless you, brother!

Praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

  • this song always gives chills

  • this used to be my fav song and video way before I was a Christian..glory to God!!!

  • OMG, this was the first song that turned me on to gospel hip hop about 9 years old (yes the song is that old). Love Cross Movement, Ambassador, Da Truth and all of them. Thank God for hip hop gospel. It hurts to know that other Christians try to tear it down b/c it doesn't sound like what they are use to, these men spit the real word!

  • Thanks for mentioning Da Truth because I was listening to them when I was getting off of drugs in a christian ministry, but forgot their names.

  • Real talk they are so Good

  • I'm still blown away that dudes can spit with hot flow and substance, and it's all about God. I was hooked when I first heard this. Big up to Cross Movement and all emcees doing their thing for the Lord.

  • This took me WAYYYY back This came out when I was little

  • I love that they don't sugarcoat their lyrics like most artists these days. It's straight up facts and most important the good news!

  • i remember when i first of crossmovement in 1999.. best thing that happened to me.. thanks cross movement for your music.. thank God for you

  • to me ambassador is by far the best in the group. that song free is ny favorite and eternal cypha is crazy...

  • Naw phatnik iz to me

  • I reackon it's still good & grimy but the message is not gonna lead to kids killin' each other....

  • This is the Best Christian Rap group Period..in terms of lyrics and production thru out the years....

  • Yeah, u r right, and they still have some nice tracks. But man, it seems that they r starting to do trendy bubble gum whack music!! Now the most important thing we can't forget is these brothers r doing the will of GOD, Amen! But on a music stand point they r going away from that raw his hop,in other words to me they r falling off. I feel that r swift is going to bring them back, with songs like the block and breatha, instant classics's.

  • R-Swift is going to bring them back? The Cross Movement discovered cats like R-Swift, Da T.R.U.T.H., J.R., and Flame. CR were doing their thing way back in 1995 when guys like R-Swift were still in high school.

  • Son, and like I said R-swift is going to bring them back with his raw style. To me the crossmovement is doing trendy music and I'm not feeling it. but hey, that's only my opinion. Those bothers still spit the word of the living God, so i will support that, but not their style of music.Just like i wouldn't listen to country gospel, but i will support the WORD OF GOD that they bring forth in their music. A yo, I know all about crossmovement homey, I had their first CD.

  • If you know all about the Cross Movement, then you should be aware that they aren't coming back as a group because they released their last album together in 2007 called History: Our Place in HIStory. The guys made it abundantly clear they will continue on rapping as solo artists, not as a group.

  • Whats ur point son? I have that CD to Brah, and I know that they all were going solo homey. Ur not telling me anything new. I let my kids have that CD. As solo artist they r making trendy music. Yo son I have been around gospel hip hop since the tunnel rats, dynamic twins, little rascal, man this is not new to me. Man i rocked mic's at show's, and produced tracks for Hazakim bro. but the most important thing is that we seek God face first Matt.6:33 God bless

  • I get what you're saying, but please stop talking to me like I'm some sort of teenager cause I'm only a few years younger than you.

  • Why wouldn't you listen to country music?

If you're a saint when you get to heaven, you'll be listening to all types of music glorifying the Trinity. Country, Oprah, Hip-Hop. It's time as Christians we get outside our comfort zones.

  • Man because i dont like country music, it just does not sound appealing to me. There is nothing wrong with that.

  • I like all music, but I have to agree. I love hip-hop, rock, bluegrass, country, folk, but some people just do not have a taste for some music. I am not much for yoddling or Big band.

  • Saw these guys in '01 at some Christian music festival & I don't listen to this music as I'm very skeptical.. but these guys BLEW me away, especially when they did "What Do You See?". Awesome band, God bless 'em.

  • Love this! I bought this CD as soon as I heard this track!

I know there are a lot of religious right-wing conservative nutcases out there who HATE rap music (e.g. soccer moms). But I think if they heard music like this and understood the message that's being preached about our savior Jesus Christ, they might appreciate it and say, "It's rap, but I'll give this group credit where credit is due." Well, maybe not soccer moms....you mean Kidz Bop is still making horrible music?????

  • true that. these dudes know wassup.

  • The kids of those "religious right wing Conservative nutcases" probably make up atleast half of this group's fan base. The group has alot of exposure in the CCM community (Contemporary Christian Music) which is dominated by "religious right-wing Conservative nutcases". It is only a relative few who oppose this kind of stuff. As for Secular Rap music, anyone with a brain has to disrespect how pathetic it has become, I couldn't blame "Soccer moms" or anyone else for doing so.

  • Why you even commenting if you're going to disrespect the entire genre of hip-hop. I understand what you mean about the secular rap industry today, but to call fans of a Gospel rap group religious right wing Conservatives nutcases is going way beyond the boundary line. If you're going to show how much of a bitter liberal you are, save it for a political video, not a rap music video.

  • By the way, Gospel rap has received more attention these days because of the pathetic commercialism of secular rap. You know why? Because unlike the secular artists, Christians don't need to rap about what they have or what they can get to spread a simple message of truth and honesty.

  • ahh, this one's hott! :D

  • yyeeeaaahhh! puttin it down 4 Jesus Christ! cross movement rocks!

  • 1 or 2 of this kat is no longer with them

  • I never thought there would be a decent christian hip-hop group; but their lyrics and production have never been stagnant.

  • keep reppin 4 Christ ever1

    God will bless u dearly

    Dis video is hot

  • lol phanatik had a afro

  • "When they come knockin the door be open by my pops / who says come correct or catch the flamin hots!!!"

"And listen to the God who says FORGET WHAT YOU HEARD / You rep for me i rep for you AND THATS MY WORD...BANG!!!!!!!"

    Tonic gots da best lyrics!

  • "jesus be the lord of the land and man he loves ya. rejecting christ is lethal like weapons in the hand of danny glover."

any kind of rap cant get much better then that!

  • best group out there christian or non christian

  • deep! heavy lyrics...

  • It's all about God's great LOVE FOR US John 3:16!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Had his Son to die for ya, to provide a blood for ya, you do the math for ya, come up with LOVE THAT'S JUST HIS CHARACTER!!!!!!! I love this verse and all of them. Now they have signed everday process, another group that raps for the Lord AlMighty!!!! Thank YOU JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • who can match the worth of the great I AM..

who blows on man... turns him back into sand...

  • i love the cross movement u should watch huh what by them

  • this is waay back when. i loved this album

  • i heard these cats in high school around the time they dropped. this was the first rap song that convinced that gospel hip hop can sound tight. classic.

  • AMBA-SS-ADOR!!! He's the man. They are all tight, i wish they would come out with one more album after HIStory.

  • Man...it's so good to hear music like this. Something that's clean and straight. I remember this.

I need stuff like this these days.

  • Enoch is the best rapper that ever lived. End of story.

  • Enoch is good.. but Ambassador is a lyrical monster... who says stuff like he does..

  • phanatik and ambassafor is my fav. tonic always rips it tho

  • *ambassador

  • cmr-- da best in da business

  • these guys are the wutang of gospel hip hop

  • the first song i ever heard from these guys, been looking for new songs ever since. these guys are awesome rappers.

  • this song was really tight. I remember seeing on rap city when I was in highschool. I was shocked to find out that was gospel rap. I saw these guys perform and was really impressed by there style. It didnt' even sound like gospel rap but went and bought the cd soon after. really good music.

  • True flavor...Baby......

    True representing....

    True message....

True street soldiers for the lord..!!!!

  • dis vid is madd hott

  • Gives rap a good name. Sick song.

  • Good representation.. Keep it cumin.

  • This song is one of my all time favorites and that's in cluding christian or secular, good music is good music for real,i think they need to do a remix and release this song again because alot people still have'nt had chance to hear this, this could rock bet,mtv,vh1 or any music video station, nuff respect CM,

  • It's funny to see phanatik with an afro haircut.

  • God Bless you Cross Movement. This is truly God given talent for God given purpose.

  • i got saved back in june, and Cross Movement was 1 of the first christian rap groups i got on. I thank the almighty 4 them. they help me maintain a pure music existence. Now let's proceed wit da representin'

  • Everything that they put it out is truly annointed by God. Ive been seeking God for several years now, and these dudes hear from God and put the Word down with tons of solidarity.....hands down. And they are seeing countless fruit for the kingdom. That's when you KNOW its TRUTH and has the very BREATH of God in it.

  • Old school CMR...they did it then and they still bring it. I think it's sad that their packin it in, but I trust the Lord is in that...let the torch be passed...

  • Tonic , was supposed to have a record coming out. What happnened?

  • I heard he got sick, but im not sure.

  • These guys are legends in christian rap. their music will live on forever! God bless em! Keep it Beast Mode, boyz!

  • i must admit i listen to secular hip hop. i was bumping this album when i was in the church in the past. I like Ambassador the most.

  • I've got the original CD's. Longtime fan; thanks for uploading.

  • greatest christian rap band ever.

  • man wassup with all these haters on here, i mean it lifts up christ for Gods sake i personally like this kinda misic :)

  • Hey we got even Pray for this one (last comment). Lord help em.

  • what do u mean by that?

  • This is an old conversation. The comments were not arranged like this. Someone had said something real ignorant. I will not repeat what he said. I guess my comment does look strange now. Thanks for letting me know.

  • Ambassador is one of the illest rappers period, just a shame that people don't bump him just coz he has the title "christian".

  • My favorite rapper is the third one on this music video. Who is it!!!??????

  • I think your talking about Enoch.

  • FINALY!!!!!!!!!!! TY!

    =)

  • haha i couldnt understand Tonic when he said that in the beggin'n.

  • I bought this CD almost 10 years ago (House of Representatives)and it's still hot. They are the reason why I listen to Gospel Rap 2Day.

    anybody know?

  • I'm pretty sure that's Phanatik...I'm almost positive.

  • Alright, I take that back...It's possible he is Enok (not sure if that's how you spell it.)

  • Wow....my apologies for these three in a row, but I saw on the monitor in the corner that yes, that is Enoch.

  • Um I don't know which person you're talking about but in this video is Enoch, Ambassador, Phanatik, Tonic, Cruz Cordero, and True Life. Now it's only the first 4 I mentioned. Hope that helps.

  • correction..Enoch aint there anymore TRU LIFE is.
