  • gene-stealers = Libtards and 0bamabots

    who are 99.9% braindead creatures

  • Tonight on Deadliest Warrior: The Genestealer vs The Xenomorph!

  • Hello, i'm Roger !

  • What a classic. 3DO didn't have many but this was one. Really a pioneer in the first person shooter genre

  • That is shocking - From 1993 all the way up to 2011, the newest codex still states the exact same thing about terminators

  • "The build nothing on their own, relying solely on the technology of conquered people."

...so, wait, when did the genestealers start copying the ork's?

  • When its showing the weapons...middle on the left side, is that a plasma weapon? Curious because all I know of terminators is of the latest Vanilla Space Marine Codex. I've never played any of the Space Hulk games.

  • @Vladdimir37 Nope, its a flamer.

  • Warhammer 40K is still badass but I'd perfer a Movie of this insted.

  • @SoulCalibrator simon templar is roger moore

  • Heh, old canon.^^

  • Maybe this is from "Vengeance of the Blood Angels". There are no 3DO version for the original Space Hulk.

  • thumbs up if they should remake space hulk?

  • Even the narrator doesn't know what kind of "stuff" is warp travel.

The writer should have made the existence of the Emperor clear.

  • ahh man i still have this game somewhere.

  • LOL the genestealer's arms clip through eachother in the body model.

  • im sorry but thats just too damn funny hate look guys we work in a plasma reactor FREE TERMINATOR ARMOR FOR US ALL

  • i swear he says woop drive but no genestealers are always nids they were made to Kill termis :p the guy who talks about this is just an idiot

  • no, in the rouge trader book (granted, 1st ed 40k was more like the inquisitor skirmish game then what we have now) genstealers were listed in the "assorted monsters" section, and not connected to tyranids. Do not know for sure if they were cannonized into tyranids when the Space Hulk board game was made though.

  • This was back in the days when Genestealers were their own race wasn't it?

  • @Jesyce86 yea it was like a build up to the tyrinds as no one knew who they were then

  • My bolter...is....jammed

    This is for....Ezikiel

  • lmfao

the sound bites made the game hilarious XD

    I have retreived!....an archive record

  • Lionus...Geat out of my way!

  • 1000 is indeed correct. however, before the Horus Heresy, the space marine LEGIONS were allowed to recruit as many warriors from their planet as they please. But after, it was ruled that 1000 be the maximum number to prevent something like the Heresy from ever happening again.

  • nice but each chapter have about 10.000 marines, not 1000

  • no 1000 is correct.

"A Chapter is an self-contained Space Marine army usually made up of a thousand or so Space Marines, as well as a large number of administrative and functionary personnel. "

    Codex Space Marines 2 ed.

  • ive heard 10.000 but ok (1000 is quite little number if u gonna face an Ork WAAAGH)

  • 1 Marine kills 100 Orcs ;)

usually many Chapters are fighting against such a big Threat for mankind.

  • uraghh gross

  • Funny how much they changed it.. i'm glad they did but this is quite cool in a retro sort of way.

  • strange, this space station(or whatever) has the banners of W40.000 space marine chapters, but the earth(0:25 its clearly southamerica with parts of africa and the USA visible) is still green and blue in the background, not the hive-world holy terra.(oceans vaporized, mountains leveled, earth completely covered by miles-high buildings)

have they rebuilt old earth somewhere else, lol?

  • I think more likely they were just lazy when they made this

  • exactly dude.

i wonder how many mails with stupid questions about inconsistencies gamesworkshop gets every day. ^^

  • how come they called a genestealers a seperate race, when its really just a small part of the tyranid race.

  • because in the Rogue Trader era, they were a separate race. They infect humans, so that they could give birth to hybrids. Its was the "Genestealer cult".

  • imperial propaganda? this may have been released before tyranids where a legit' army.

this is space hulk after all.

  • because they only realized that later on

  • Man, this mess is horribly out of synch.

  • That's not Simon Temple narrorating, is it?

  • No. It's not Roger Moore.

  • @AtorTFE really?? 0.0

I just watched moonraker but I couldn't recognise that as roger!

  • @hutchy1k94

as I originally stated - it is NOT Roger doing the narrative

  • @AtorTFE ah.... oops my mistake XD

  • awsome game!!! they dont make 'em like they used too!!

  • 2:24 - Captain Tycho!

  • "I can not find an archive record viewer!"

  • this is like the 40first millenium's "Future Weapons's" series lol

  • the "woop" drive

  • Shoop da woop drive

  • THE WHOP DRIVE!

  • It is the WARP drive...

  • Sounds pretty intelligent to me. Let some poor saps think, design, develop, and build something, then wipe them all out.

  • " highly intelligent, they build nothing of their own"

  • THE DARK ANGEL CHAPTER!

  • DEATHWING COMPANY!

  • The first Space marine Chapter !!

  • What?

  • Dark angels is the first space marine chapter EVER.

  • As in the I legion?

  • what do you mean?

  • I mean the first 10 space marine legions. 8 being traitor and 8 being loyal, the first founded was the Dark Angels.

  • there were 20. 11 traitors and 9 loyal in horus heresy

  • true there were 20(2 Primarchs were unknown so you could make up your own Primarch) there were 9 Traitor and 9 loyalist.

  • its awsome in its own corny way

  • THE DARK ANGEL CHAPTER!

  • DEATHWING COMPANY!

  • Does enyone knows where i can download Space Hulk VOBD??

  • You can buy it on Ebay or Allegro.

  • lol "Warp travel was tricky, dangerous...stuff"

  • @DarkSoftStudios hell yeah man "Yo we heard you like warp travel so we put a warp in your warp so you can travel while you travel"

  • Was this back when the genestealers were their own race instead of being recognized as a part of the tyranids.

  • yes this was when they had the genestealer cults

  • Genestealers were only their own race in first edition (rogue trader). In second edition (the time this game was released) genestealers acted as a kind of a forward attack force, they were part of the tyranid race, and used genestealer cults to soften the defense of worlds the tyranids had their eyes on.

  • That first Genestealer looks as cool as it did when I was a kiddo.

  • Cool never gets old.

  • i know they shouldent have changed them

  • Could someone explain me, what does "ass-chew" expression mean?

    (I'm not native English-talker)

  • it's "eschew", not ass-chew. :-) It means "avoid"

  • What a shame :).

Asses only in my head. Thanks for explanation.

  • Whys the arm holding the bolter pistol look so...skinny?

  • Graphical Limtiations, maybe.

  • yeh your right the shield arm should be less armored becuase the shield makes up for it

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • I love how the narrator actually says "ess-chew"

  • Brilliant, the best intro ever, the ONLY difference is that the PC version has different music, though you have a choice of new PC music to play or original 3D0

  • I want to download this game..BUT I AM NOT SURE IF IT EVEN RUNS ON VISTA ANYMORE D:

  • I remember the first time I saw the box for this game. Of course, I immediately drew the conclusion that "Space Hulk" refered to the genestealer sneaking up behind the space marine. Shows you what I knew! I was never able to beat this game but someday, if I ever dig up my 3D0, I think I'll give it another go.

  • Dude, this is the exact same intro I remember from my PC version.

Pretty damn cool though, thanks for uploading.

  • That's because the PC is a port of the 3DO title. Hope it brought back some memories.

  • That is a really good video, tonnes of accurate info, although I think the narrator saying there are 1000 space marine chapters is a bit innacurate, as few know exactly how mny there are due to the expanse of the imperium, and new chapters seem to pop up with startling regularity lol

  • actually in the NEW codex they mention in fluff that the space marines are "1000 chapters strong". but then goes on to say that the actual number of space marine chapters is unknown because of new chapters being formed and other chapters being wiped out...

  • this is one the very few games that i just could not beat. therefore, i love it!!

  • I am 28 years old and when I played this game mid-way through highschool when it came out it gave me some very awesome and inspiring dreams... all from this stunning into and the tense, claustrophobic game play with great game tactics and play... I love those scenes of space and the fascinating "ancient architecture" for state-of-the-art space flight. I love the TERMINATOR ARMOR suits. Very old and still top of the line. GREAT MUSIC! Thanks for the upload!

  • I like this kind sci fi, dark and brutal the 40k only war kind. Not into their board games but their games and fiction is great.

  • Was there a character named Azrael in this?

  • yes

  • I don't see why anyone's moaning about you posting the intro to the ORIGINAL version of SHVOTBA, the PC/Saturn/PS1 versions were all ports of this version, during this time EA were fully backing the 3DO and all of their big games were released on 3DO first.

  • I dont see how this is different from the PC version, or the saturn or playstation version mind.

  • Original PC title had a different intro. Saturn and Playstation versions are direct ports of the 3DO release.

  • Yes, the 1993 dos game had a different intro but thats a completely different game made two years prior to this. The PC version of THIS game had this intro.

  • You're correct, although no-one ever bothered to post this version (english) of the intro, and since the only intro being shown was the '93 cinema, I posted the one which I captured off my (clunky but still workin)3DO. I thought fans would be interested in seeing this even though there was a japanese language version already circulating since it's different from the PC title aready being viewed on YouTube.

  • Warhammer games need to go more in dept like this. Iv only played DoW and that has hardly any lore in it at all. I crave for more!

  • this video is out fo sync, but its possibly the best intro ever.

  • This was the first pc game i ever bought. It was rather dissapointing.

  • Dissapointing? are you kidding? I loved this game, its one of the best games EA ever released, they could never do anything like this anymore. I only wish they had the sense to make a squal to this in the Doom3 engine or something.

  • rare vid, thanks for sharing :)

  • There needs to be a sequal to this game.

    Thanks for listing the Vid.

  • Bear in mind that this IS essentially a sequel - the original '93 PC version was the Deathwing version, then a few years later Vengeance of the Blood Angels came out - nicer graphics, new campaign and so on - on the PC, Playstation and 3DO.
