only one pattern plays in redrum ONLY THE ONE WHICH IS SELECTED EVEN AFTER I SET UP DIFFERENT SOUNDS ON DIFFERENT PATTERN ONLY THE SELECTED SOUND IS PLAYED THE SOUNDS FRM ALL THE PATTERNS DONT PLAY
Does anyone know how to work REDRUM in reason? I do not know how to make it start and stop at specific times. Like if I want REDRUM to kick in after 8 bars and then stop after 4 bars, how would one go about programming it to those starts and stops?
It's awesome to see someone from a semi popular band doing this to help people out, what happened to Hansen anyway are they still churning music out?!!
Some of you guys should take a chill pill. Dude already showed how to use the AUX in a previous video, maybe he wanted to leave it open? Who wastes an AUX on an effect that's going on ONE instrument? I don't know who told you that you never put reverb on a snare, but they were flat out WRONG. Maybe not extreme reverb, but there's a little reverb on most snares and when you listen to 80's rap it's especially apparent. Like I said chill, if you don't like it make your own. The video is fine.
There are so many issues with this vid.. he sets out to show one thing, does it the illogical way, and gets other things also done the hard way in the process.
Nice vid. I check it out months ago. I just had bought my reason 4.0 at guitar center. I have a few months experience on it. I would love to people to give me their views on it. Just holla at me any 1 interested in hearing some hip hop beats. By the way i also took this vid for some knowledge. Because i could use that idea the reverb on a snare or any other drums i lay down on the redrum. Peace
thats kind of stupid all he had to do was route areverb unit in the mix dir send 1 channel to do the same thing and raise the send 1 channel up on the reverb for the snare lol
i just started doing my thang with reason 4.0. Im a beginner. I find my self lost sometimes using reason. But i just play with it for a while than i create a beat. Anyone could give me advice. I know i start of with my mixer and than add a few synth.
that shit was helpfull ..so i cacn detilaed wit my effects but couldnt you also just use send 1 and send 2 in that specific sound..but i see the whole point !
Yessir. I agree. This is much more useful than sending individual tracks into the main mixer, which tends to clutter your mix and create more problems in the end. You should see my drum combinator!!! ;-)
great tutorial. i have been using seperate redrums for my hi hats and percussion, because i could never hook the effects up right. This saves me a hell of alot more time and space on my rack. thx alot your the man

@trickthemartyr eh.. use the sequencer? I believe you can easily export your programmed beat to the sequencer and copy/move it there as you like.

@trickthemartyr you're looking for the pattern automation.

i tend to use a combinator with a mixer and a redrum inside. Makes it alot easier to manage.

I'd disagree. Reverb should be hooked up via auxiliary input/outputs.
