So anything that will draw very negative unwanted attention to the person (can be barking, shouting, cursing etc) gets flagged in that persons mind (since it's the one thing they DONT want to say) and the urge just becomes stronger and stronger along w the anxiety until they just "let it out" Now, keep in mind, this type of tourettes is corprolalia

@jcmti The words "Butterflies" or "pretty girl" aren't really considered "risky" words. I'll also explain how the urge feels. Try not to blink for 5 minutes. That is very close to what the urge to TIC is like with tourettes. I don't have corprolalia but I have the more common type which is the urge to twitch or jerk... or flex really hard all the time. Kinda like having restless leg syndrome only it's "restless BODY syndrome" and it lasts 24/7 (unless i'm asleep)
