Frank should go back to what he does best - writing. This is such a bad movie on so many levels; the cast were let down by the script, the tone was Sin City when it should have been a washed-out Dick Tracy. Saving graces were Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson; Samuel L Jackson (the Coolest, most BAMF in Hollywood) phoned it in. If you enjoyed the movie, good for you. If you didn't, it's because you probably read Eisner's original work.

And what was with all the cats? A metaphor, perhaps?

I just watched the movie and I enjoyed it really much, not because it's "just like any other good movie" but because of the artistics in it. The movie is based of a cartoon, and the effects (which i thought were really awesome and cooperated with the sense of a cartoon) intensifies that. And what should also be known is that the mood in this trailer were'nt anywhere near to the one u see in the actual movie. So this trailer is kinda misleading, which I think is sad. Cus it was well made movie.

Well, they were simillar in many things but it was really nice in it's own way...it was a little complicated and kind of strange but yet it was nice...Although Scarlet can't act a bit and I'm not a big fan of Eva Mendes I liked the leading actor a lot and of course Samuel Jackson!
