Is it too much too ask for a yugioh game like Duels of the Planeswalkers? The way the game is set up is amazing and I only wish they could do the same for yugioh.

just played Shandalar and I really like the game, that's what a MTG game should be like, the ability to build your own deck and a story mode to adventure in. even Shandalar is a 1990s game it is so above all the later MTG games. id pay 50 bucks to play it if WoC will make a similar one in future

@daarkshadow8 The real game has over 5000 cards and hundreds of pages of ruling on individual cards because there are illegal stacks of spells that works both ways, im a DCI judge and i've played over 8 years of magic and i still make mistakes. i would have loved to seen more cards avaliable to unlock in this game granted there 16 cards per deck to unlock so there 160 cards you can unlock but can only use 16 to customize your pre-existing decks so its like tryin to unlock a booster deck are somethen whatever its called i havent played magic in real in forever. but come on even a newb like me knows its all about the customizein your deck that makes it so much more fun. im hopein there be some DLC cards in the future for it

Magic is much more enjoyable with friends and with REAL cards, card games are awesome because they are fun and you can play them with friends without having to sit in a room in front of a pc like a games addict. This game is complete bullshit. The difficulty setting doesn't even matter. AI obviously stack there fucking cards because every single turn they happen to bring out their own cards while negating my cards. It took me 7 tries before i could even beat the first AI

On a side note, these developers are acting like theyve created the first ever video game: "We have REAL co-op!" It's hard to find games without co-op. @KuhoinX Mtg got very commercial after Coldsnap. Until then it was a nice game where you could build your own decks for fun and win something with them. Today if u just build a fun deck, you have no chance. Your just have to buy cards that are incredibly costy and stuff...

@Shadowfang2k7 you can edit the core deck now taking out core cards and replacing with unlocked ones but your still restricted in mana the game auto adjusts and calculates your mana for you again.

archenemy looks fun but, do they really needed to make a whole "new" game??? I mean, artifact deck and red deck are very similar to Relics of Doom and Heat of Battle, and they just added cards from latest scars of mirrodin block.
Sorry, but I'm still not convinced. The idea and basic look is OK, but you guys should hire better art-director. The overall look and UI of the game is just not the right thing ... Meh. Whatever.
@CharmieKid I played it when I was a kid and then I grew up and moved as all my friends did. Now we can get all nostalgic and play magic again even though we are no where near each other. So I think its a good thing.
This dosent look that good... ive allways hated card game video games. Sure, they have added some cool additions but its so much cheaper to just get some Pokemon, YuGiOh , or just some standard top trumps then buy a game and play it on your TV. Its just not my kind of game :/
You obviously don't play Magic then... it's a lot less expensive to by the video game then it is to make a deck of similar quality to what they had pre-made in their last game.
Plus alot of the cards weren't standard, like the rack card in the eyes of shadow deck, a new version of the card was made just for the video game.
Side Note: a Jace the Mind Sculptor can cost around $100, the XBLA game was at most $15.

@KuhoinX, I always wondered this myself :) I really wish we could forge our own decks.
It could be because of the sheer number of cards within the game and creating an A.I capable of handling customised deck without it becoming broken could be tricky?

You can remove or put in all the cards that are unlocked for that specific deck.
It isn't full customization, but you can actually take out useless cards. Which is fucking great.
They are trying to get full customization on the next game.

@Shadowfang2k7 you can edit the core deck now taking out core cards and replacing with unlocked ones but your still restricted in mana the game auto adjusts and calculates your mana for you again.

Magic the Gathering ruined people academic in school, gotten people divorce, and break their wallet.
Stop playing Magic, you are not getting rich off it or meeting girls from it. If you choose Magic over hanging with your wife or kids or girlfriend on any day or night then you are a LOSER!
Only people who live in a crappy apartment or in their mother's basement would play this game over the age of 17.
These days go enjoy XBOX360 and PS3 and Wii isntead.

This dosent look that good... ive allways hated card game video games. Sure, they have added some cool additions but its so much cheaper to just get some Pokemon, YuGiOh , or just some standard top trumps then buy a game and play it on your TV. Its just not my kind of game :/

You obviously don't play Magic then... it's a lot less expensive to by the video game then it is to make a deck of similar quality to what they had pre-made in their last game.
Plus alot of the cards weren't standard, like the rack card in the eyes of shadow deck, a new version of the card was made just for the video game.
Side Note: a Jace the Mind Sculptor can cost around $100, the XBLA game was at most $15.

You can unlock every card in the game for free, you only have to pay for the actual game and the expansion packs that will come out.
