Dude, that stuff is evil. It's in acid rain, causes erosion, causes more deaths than pretty much anything but cancer or Chuck Norris, and when a cell is saturated with it, it'll EXPLODE. Srsly.
You are one dumb motherfucker with your shitty comments everywhere. I hope you die from severe diharroea. What the fuck does water have to do with this vid, and why do you comment this obvious shite. I don't like you. Nobody likes you.
Don't bother, he is just going to ignore you or respond in his broken English. hundreds have tried, yet all of failed, he is surely the most annoying/stupid french Canadian who ever walked the earth. He either doesn't know EVERYONE hates him, or maybe he doesn't care. I see one "Holy-terrorist*=*" on one of my vids, and I'm going to spam the fuck out of his page and videos.
this is far from a teaspoon, there is approximatively 5mg of mercury fulminate on that video ; you are referring to quantities about 100 times greater
They did it to demonstrate how the general public is incredibly ignorant when it comes to chemistry and chemicals in general. They tend to believe all the information spoon fed to them by charlatans and other people with agendas.
The general public believes that anything "chemical" must be bad, bad, bad! You see it all the time, even here.
People should try reading a textbook or encyclopedia sometime. However, it being ignorant appears to be "cool" nowadays. If you actually research topics you must be "elitist" or a "nerd".
I wasn't trying to be rude. Sorry if you that I was being rude. But it's actually not used much anymore, as it releases gaseous metallic mercury when it's detonated. You won't find it in commercial blasting caps often if at all today.
Is this a meth?

xHizukax 1 year ago
@xHizukax basically you just have to mix mercury and fulminate which can be found at the grocery store

@OgGiZ "mix mercury and fulminate"
mercury is generally not sold because it can kill you if swallowed.
fulminate is not a chemical. fulmine is.
The wikipedia article for mercury(II) fulminate tells you exactly how to make it, although i dont suggest blowing up birds with it.

I've made my own mercury fulminate, and must say ours was a lot more potent than this with way smaller qty. So is this refined stuff weaker?
we made some crystals about 1/3 of a teaspoon, and felt the shockwave 15 meters away. the shockwave even cracked a window. (3 meters away)

There is no need to blow up such amount of mercury fulminate. If you want a louder bang, use a secondary explosive.

MDHmodder 3 years ago
*wow* that's powerful stuff, used as a primer in bullets and shells and is highly sensitive **cool vid**
Pyromaceno1 3 years ago
No it's not. That's a mix of Lead Azide/Aluminum/Simple Lead Styphnate. Check your stuff.
AirsoftLife 3 years ago
Actually, the sample is about 0.1g or less so it does not detonate ; it will only do a louder *bang* with a quantity of ~2g and more.
