  • Man thats nice. How much did it cost to put that in?

  • love how dinky the engine looks haha

  • what are the numbers on the RW dyno?

  • @losiluke

that time it was about 160rwhp and about 120tq

  • @lucky7fris

More fuel pressure and or larger volume injectors...

Plenty of air/O2 is available you just need more carbons ->hydro. Maybe consider producing more somehow...

Let me know if that changes numbers...

  • Renesis Power ! So good!

  • clearing things up; romanosalvatore meant 'NA' as in the chassis code for the first generation miata. 1st gen = NA, 2nd = NB, 3rd = NC.

It's easy to mix up, though, since the first gen's code is also an abbreviation for natural aspiration...

  • @ww92films no??? its first gen=fb second gen=fc third gen=fd. na is naturally aspirated. where in the world did you get such a crazy idea?

  • @bosgreene36m3

    I'm talking about miata (MX5) generations, not RX7s. :P

  • @ww92films forgive me for being high while thinking i was right. haha good call that never even occured to me

  • @bosgreene36m3 haha, it's cool

  • Flippin' sweet!!!

  • is it me or does everything sound better with weber 48's?

  • why is it sound like its gonna die?

  • @nuke1989 thats the sound of a ported rotary you grow to love it

  • @nuke1989 Because rotary motors are dead inside. They're cold, heartless, piston killing machines and I love them for it. lol

  • how to you make the rotary idle so lumpy?

    i love it :D

  • @RX8fan07 take it to a rotary specialist and get them to port it...tho a warning the further u port it hte lumpier itll sound but u will get far poorer fuel economy and drivability but who cares? lol

  • That is so cool. I mean, a rotary in a Miata? Such GREAT power-to-weight ratio.

  • Awesome car. The 914 porsches are a great swap for track too. great balance. Check my vids

  • thanks, yeah my new setup is fuel injected ITBs

  • Is there a website or something of the sort where I can learn about old school rotary swaps like these? I'd love to start a project like this, and I don't want to burden you with a bunch of questions.

  • @spncrgrn fujiracing is making a kit I think

  • Why is it that everybody uses the (NA) Miata for the swap?

  • I don't know why. I got a good deal on this shell that is why I bought it.

  • @lucky7fris Yeah, thats probably the reason why most people buy NA's, cheaper. Thanks!

  • NA Miata's are really light.

I'm saving up for a swap myself, 13b-t

  • @romanosalvatore na is the lighest of hte 3 also the cheapest and easiest to modify :)

  • @romanosalvatore Well, since the Miata is a corner carver and nothing else, the tuners like to explore that. They dont seem to do turbo on a Miata too much because it takes away from the balance of the car. The N/A rotary is chosen for its responce.

  • @romanosalvatore Maybe because all Miatas are NA? Or are you referring to the Mazda RX7 engine in it? If so that is probably because of the boost spike issues. It is harder to control a turbo charged/supercharged vehicle while drifting. I bet the ITBs give extremely predictable torque scenarios.

  • @romanosalvatore why not the NA? It's by far the cheapest and lightest miata making it great for a swap. The NB is no better (and weighs more) and the NC is patheticly heavy.

  • @romanosalvatore NA miatas are very light, the NA rotaries are as well, good match

  • GORGEOUS miata my friend, what year is it?

  • 1990 :)

  • Sick ass car man. very awesome.! love that green on the wankel.

  • Looks unlike other 13Bs.. Is the alternator supposed to be there?

  • nice tach haha

  • im totally digging the plethora of colours under the hood!

the FD's and FC's in the background look good too! 5 stars man!!

  • @scandmx5atl

thanks! the red FC in the background is mine also. you can see vids of it on the track in my other videos.

  • hey iam about to do a swap on my miata i was wondering does your speedo work with the rx7 tranny and how hard will it be to put a fuel injection 13b.

  • what starter did you use?? it seems to have a lot of cranking power at startup...

  • @ponykillerr

    just a regular 13B starter

  • haha sorry lost my train of thought... i have my 13b in a sandrail. so i have a vw starter but the 12 volt isnt doing too well of a job :/

  • i was planing on doing this but i have a quick question did you have to do any frame modifaction to get the 13b in there? and sitting properly

  • @PAC0TAC0

yes, slight cutting of the subframe to clear the oil pan.

  • are you using a 12a front cover??

  • yes it is a 12A front cover

  • hay are you guys located in duarte ca. by any chance.

  • SICK DUDE! 13b Miatas are fucking bad ass.

  • wicked man! I want to buy my girl a miata and throw a 13b in for her. im scared on how it would have a boaring life tho, unless i got to drive it once and a while & clear it out haha.

  • the idle is crazy on that, but badass!

  • drive shaft? electrical? tran mounts? anywhere i can read about your build?

  • trans is rx-7 bell housing, miata tail shaft to hook up to stock driveshaft and PPF.

electrical? what do you mean? it's a carb so just power and ground to the coil packs.

  • sorry i meant to the guages

  • Orale Fris... that miata is sick

  • Only welding necessary on my swap was for the custom header and exhaust. The mount for the motor mounts was not welded, but bolted on to the frame.

BTW, this was the very first start up. She fired right up and idled perfectly :)

  • May I have a pic of your header?

  • inquiring minds want to know what how hard the swap was? and does it take any welding?

  • did you buy a kit for the motor mount brace/tranny crossmember? did you fab yourself? if so are you selling? mazsport has one but its a bit up there

  • The drivetrain is the stock miata rear end, rx-7 trans with miata tail shaft to bolt up to the PPF like stock.

  • beautiful

  • how did you do the drive train?
