Teddy Borowiecki has been kd's piano player for decades now, and he is a treasure too. I love how he supports this tune, and rises to the crescendo without getting in the way, but adding such passion for kd to launch from.

The beauty of this incredible voice and the emotion of this incredible person seemed to be singing just to me and my life. When I heard the words sung, "Sometimes, it feels that all that you've wanted has been taken away. You will walk. You will walk. You will walk..." I cried so hard. My cousin told me that he can't walk anymore. His cancer moved into the brain. Quite a few have cancer back home from the Valley, including me. I was going to get married in 6 days. Now, that's postponed. I feel the blackbirds really are crying. I lost a baby, too. But like KD Lang sings so beautifully, "We will walk in good company."

Truly k.d. has the remarkable talent to interpret this song and all it's beautiful metaphors. After listening to the lyrics I realize it is Jane's reworking of Plato's Allegory of the Cave...something that should be read and appreciated by everyone who likes this song.

I'd never heard this before. I was looking for a vid of her singing "Valley of the Dolls" b/c it was on the pilot for "Nurse Jackie."

It has been a while since I listened to K D so when I heard her voice on the soundtrack for "Nurse Jackie" my heart LEAPT! It was like hearing the voice of a long lost friend!

K D Lang has the sweetest, purest voice and she puts her heart in every note.

I would LOVE to see her live!

k.d.'s actually on tour now in the USA, as far as I know... I know there's a concert in Michigan in mid July.. just look up her tour if you live in the US.

I had fallen in love with her voice some 15 years ago and dreamed of seeing her in live concert. It was almost a religious experience, both times. And I'm going to her concert in Michigan... I really hope she sings this... and Simple... and a cpl more things :D
