When we were young we would get Whitney to sing and she would blow our minds. People haven't really heard how good she can sing because as a professional artist, she sings the way the songs are arranged for her to sing, but back in the day, when she would be at church, she tore it up and everybody knew she was gonna make it big. Believe me when I tell you people, Whitney Houston used to sing like no other person on earth. She was incredible.

I know Whitney Houston personally and she is not what she is portrayed to be. Whitney ain't no joke. Back in the day Whitney was tough but she grew out of it. I'm from East Orange, NJ and I lived right down the street from the Houston's and I still see her brothers from time to time. One thing about Whitney is that fame didn't change her. I haven't seen her in a while but when she first "made it big" she would come home and be real humble even though she was a multi-millionaire.

I'm a huge fan of Whitney's. Have been for the past 25 years. I'm so excited for her! I didn't get a bad impression from this clip at all. Either way, I think all judgment should be reserved until after the interview is aired. FYI, it's been reported that immediately after Oprah's interview with Whitney, Oprah tweeted: "Oprah in search of ceiling repairmen. Cause Whitney just BLEW THE ROOF off of Harpo. Grown men & women weeping in the aisles".

Sounds like this Oprah show will be another lentching of Whitney. Why didn't Oprah critique how nasty and confrontational Dianne Sawyer was? In just these 4 minutes I got a strong impression that Oprah is not Whitney's friend. And in these short 4 minutes it was packed with several insults.  And these two women let Whitney have it. I guess it's fare game to completely walk on Whitney and stomp her to be sure she has no Real public respect ever.

Also these woman are interviewers it';s their jobs. Diane sawyer did amazing on that interview with whit by the way. Cause from minute one...Whitney was extremely defensive.

Diane Sawyer clearly did a horrible job. What did she get out of Whitney? Not a word of truth. Clearly that says something about your interviewing skills. This is not 2 kids on a playground, trying see who can piss whom off, and call it a win. The point of interviews is to ask people various questions about their life and character, and get ANSWERS! Diane didn't get answers, she got defensive, because of the way Diane came at her.

She did drugs, I don't think she wanted to. I don't think she thought it was a good thing. Surely, by her not revealing it so long it was something she wasn't proud of. And the way Diane was shooting out questions like a local crackhead asking for coins to buy a beer to feed their addiction, wasn't the way to get a un-proud person of what they did, to answer their questions, and give an exceptional interview.

What the hell is a 'lentching'??? Diane did the best she could considering Whitney was at the height of her drug use and was not about to answer any questions. She handled it w/pure class. I think that is evident at the NY listening party for the CD. When Whitney steps off of the stage after her intro the first person she greets (and hugs) is Diane Sawyer. If she really hated Diane I don't think she would have done GMA. Oprah is Whitney's friend and Whitney knows it.
