I like the lp alot. I really do. But I LOVED this LP. Sick raps, Baddass screams, Catchy beats, And THEY WERE JUST SO HARD. Mike had killer flow and did raps with other rappers sometimes, And chester could sing and scream amazing live just as he did in the studio. Theyve gotten older and lost their hardcore ways. goddamnit. Mike cant even flow like he used to live. Chester sounds like hes humming. And no rappers wanna collab now cuz mike cant flow for his life anymore.

He's singing more than he raps these days . his rap work on ATS was pretty mediocre , and now he raps with this weird accent which really bothered me, cuz his voice and flow were already unique . smh, I mean hey, at least we have this LP and Fort Minor to look back on right? anybody who says LP is as good today as they were then back in the day are blind .
@MisterBankz I still liked the new album, but it just doesnt measure up to this. And yeah I agree with the thing about Mike, like yeah hes a DECENT singer but goddamn its like what eminem is doing on recovery and relapse. More singing and tryna sound fresh by changeing his flow and accent, but hes just sounding stupid. And yeah Im happy I have lots of stuff to look back at, I NEVER grow tired of these songs. The new ones get played out after a few listens.
@mixerNack i dont think eminems recovery is bad. he sings the chorus sometimes but he did that in the eminem show too. on the new album he kills every song, and if you look at the most other rappers, he's miles ahead, dont u think?

@gocubs1815 Meteora was their most mainstream album. Thats when their asses were plastered all over MTV, the same place Lady Gaga is right now. Every song on that album had almost the exact same structure. I did like Meteora, but Hybrid Theory EP is my favourite. Part of me and Carousel are some of fav songs of theirs. But I DID really like Meteora, I play that shit almost everyday.

This was done in studio not live, rapping when you can edit the tracks to your liking is a lot different than, rapping to crowd with no back up if you mess up. Mike's a great rapper but he has gotten stagnant, every rappers get's their ups and downs, and this is big down maybe some day they'll recover but first they need to get over this conceited hipster appeal phase there in.

I think the change came naturally, imagine them in their mid 30s being all street anime-mecha electronic overthetop and screamy like this. It doesn't fit well i believe, after some time it would en up being too graphical. I am no doctor but i imagine all this screaming would cause him some longtime damage if he kept at it. And yeah I agree with the thing about Mike, like yeah hes a DECENT singer but goddamn its like what eminem is doing on recovery and relapse. More singing and tryna sound fresh by changeing his flow and accent, but hes just sounding stupid. And yeah Im happy I have lots of stuff to look back at, I NEVER grow tired of these songs. The new ones get played out after a few listens.

@mixerNack i dont think eminems recovery is bad. he sings the chorus sometimes but he did that in the eminem show too. on the new album he kills every song, and if you look at the most other rappers, he's miles ahead, dont u think?

@gocubs1815 Meteora was their most mainstream album. Thats when their asses were plastered all over MTV, the same place Lady Gaga is right now. Every song on that album had almost the exact same structure. I did like Meteora, but Hybrid Theory EP is my favourite. Part of me and Carousel are some of fav songs of theirs. But I DID really like Meteora, I play that shit almost everyday.

And lets not blame MTV, Meteora was how I got really into Linkin Park in the first place. (I was kinda there but not into it and too young for Hybrid)

This was done in studio not live, rapping when you can edit the tracks to your liking is a lot different than, rapping to crowd with no back up if you mess up. Mike's a great rapper but he has gotten stagnant, every rappers get's their ups and downs, and this is big down maybe some day they'll recover but first they need to get over this conceited hipster appeal phase there in.

And no I can't imagine Shadow of the Day or Leave Out all the Rest with screaming and rapping because the style of those two songs are soft, and there is no place in those songs for screams and rap. But there are, however, songs still on that album that DO have screaming AND rapping.

I think the change came naturally, imagine them in their mid 30s being all street anime-mecha electronic overthetop and screamy like this. It doesn't fit well i believe, after some time it would en up being too graphical. I am no doctor but i imagine all this screaming would cause him some longtime damage if he kept at it. I would consider them sellouts if they produced something that didn't come naturally to them, but then again i can't know that.
